(AP) -Freshman Bobby Ward scored a touchdown on a 62-vard pass play and set up two others with a 40-yard kickoff return and a crucial catch as the Memphis State Tigers defeated Tulsa 28-16 Saturday night. Another freshman, corner-back Eric Harris, intercepted a pass and bolted 30 yards for another touchdown in the fourth quarter to seal the victory, the Tigers' fourth against two losses. Tulsa, the nation's top passing team going into Saturday's touchdowns on consecutive possessions to cut their deficit to 21-16.
