CHARLES POPELKA Charles Popelka of Midlothian died Sunday, February 14, at St. Francis hospital, Blue Island.

Services were Wednesday at Hickey Memorial chapel, Midlothian with burial in Bohemian National cemetery, Chicago. Mr. Popelka was born November 18, 1926, in Illinois and was a former truck driver for Anheiser-Busch. He is survived by his wife, Evelyn; one daughter, Karen Leska; two sons, Michael and Mark, and two KELVIN L. BROOKS Lifelong resident of the Harvey area, Kelvin L.

Brooks died Tuesday, February 16, at Ingalls Memorial hospital, Harvey. The Rev. Karen Knutson officiated at graveside services Friday at Oak Hill cemetery, Blue Island. Mr. Brooks was born November 27, 1919, in Port Huron, and was a bus driver for Continental Air transport.

He is survived by his wife, Marion one daughter, Susan of Harvey; three sons, Richard of Midlothian, Robert and Ronald, both of Harvey, two sisters, Alice Ramsdell of Florida and Vivian Schultz of California, and one brother, Harry of Wisconsin. Mrs. Kramer was born August 30, 1906, in Orland Park and was a lifelong resident of the south suburban area. She was a life member of La: dies Aide society of Christ Evangelical Lutheran church. She is survived by one son, LeRoy; six grandchildren, and three greatgrandchildren. JOHN CURULEWSKI Lead guitar player for the rock band, STYX, John Curulewski of Al-sip died Saturday, February 13, at home. Services were Wednesday at St. Christopher church, Midlothian and burial was in St. Benedict cemetery, Crestwood. Mr.

Curulewski was born October 3, 1950, in Illinois and was formerly of Midlothian. He is survived by his wife, Janice; his parents, Donald and Margaret Fraser, and one son, Jamie. THOMAS CRAIG LAWSON Tinley Park resident Thomas Craig Lawson died Wednesday, February 17, at St. Francis hospital, Blue Island. The Rev.

Thomas Baima officiated at the Mass of the Resurrection on Friday at St. Damian Catholic church, Oak Forest. Burial was in St. Casimir cemetery, Chicago. Mr.

Lawson was born January 31, 1946, in Chicago, and he lived in the south suburbs for 34 years. He was an independent contractor and a pipefitter with Pipefitters Union Local 597. He also was a member of St. Damian and veteran of the Vietnam war. He is survived by his wife, Vicki; his father, Thomas Lawson of Dolton; one daughter, Cristie of Tinley Park; one sister, Suzanne Gray of Tempe, four brothers, Kerry of Oak Forest, Daniel of Matteson, Jerrold of Chandler, and Robert of Arizona, and his grandmother, Luba Merfy of Crestwood.
