Amuse ments were swimming ami riding of bicycles. Miss Elizabeth Eakin, teacher of second room took her pupils on a picnic to Old Mill Inn. The rest of the day was fishing and swimming. The high school students motored to Cpnncaut Lake for a picnic and grand time was enjoyed by 30 students. In first room no pupil was neither tardy nor absent during the tor mand in second room five pupils were neither tardy; nor absent.

Fourteen members of the Ladies Aid Society of the- Methodist Church en joyed a tureen dinner in' the church basement on Thursday evening. A business meeting was held afterwards and was presided over by the presr dent, Mrs. John L. Humphrey, at which time it wao decided that the Ladies Aid would serve the fathers and sons banquet. Date to be announced later.

The Junior League had charge of the services in the Methodist Church on Sunday evenins'nnrl it is surprising what the children have learned during the few months this league has been organized. The Juniors presented their pastor. Rev. L. E.

Meals' sister. Mrs. John Slye. The Harmony Grove Community Club met Wednesday with Mrs. Joe Cannon for their all day quilting and tureen dinner at noon.

Mrs. Barbara Duffy, of Butler, spent the week-end with her sister, Mrs. Bert McKean. Mr. and Mrs.

John F. Hovis. of Oil City, were guests in the McKean home Tuesday. Mrs. Duffy accompanied them to their home in Oil City, returning here the latter part of the week and Mrs.

McKean accompanied Mrs. Duffv to her home in Butler. Miss Margaret Sloan, a teacher in the school at Foxburg has returned home for the summer vacation. Mrs. R.

J. Hovis and Mrs. Mabel Bolender, of Clintonville, and Miss Pansy Galbraith, of Pittsburgh, were dinner guests Wednesday evening at the home of Mrs. Wayne W. Stoyer, of Titusville.

Mrs. Margaret Green and daughter, Miss Catherine Hannum and Mrs. Vinie Hovis were Grove City and Slippery Rock callers Thursday. A game of ball was played here on Friday evening between the Hilliards team and the Clintonville team. Hilliards won.

7-0. Donald Jones, teacher of the Foster school, Sandy Creek Township, has returned home from the summer vacation. Miss Allene Hoffman left the latter part of the week on a trip to Duke, Xorth Carolina. Mr. and Mrs.

Lunch was served at late hour. Mrs, Gilmore was form erly Miss Margaret Jamison. Services of the U. P. Church will held in the church basement for a few weeks as the church is undergoing repairs and they are redecorating the interior of the church.
