The two seniors are pitcher Carole Egan and outfielder Diane Saternus. None of that quintet was nominated for All-State, however, catcher Sue Andrews of Richards was. The Bulldog senior was joined by teammates Laura Lanigan and Kelly Doyle as all-conference. Doyle was a senior outfielder this spring and Lanigan a junior infielder.

In the West, Andrew had five players from its 9-3 conference runnersup to Lockport selected as best in conference. Those five were headed by All-State nominee Donna DiBiase. DiBiase is a graduating senior third baseman. Other Andrew girls honored included freshman pitcher Stacy Za-rembski, catcher April Prete, infielder Lori Rohan and outfielder Kim Ericksen. 'J w.

TF South and Oak Forest finished 1-2 in the SICA Central softball race at 8-2 and 7-3 respectively. Meanwhile, Bremen had five girls named all-league in SICA Central and Stagg five in SICA North. Sue Andrews led a list of three Richards players named among the North's best while Shepard placed senior pitcher Jackie Russell and senior DH Jill Westerberg.

Knight's teammates voted among Central's best were pitcher Jenny Wick, first baseman Janice Haisma, third baseman Julie Murphy, outfielder Jennie Krestan and Designated Hitter Kim Wood. Knight, Titan camps all set There are still yet a few openings for the first session of the Will Slager Chicago Christian Basketball Camp that opens Monday.

There will actually be two different sessions of the camp Monday through June 23 and July 10-21. Likewise, registration remains open for both sessions of the Titan Bas-- ketball Camp that Randy Voels will once again direct at Tinley Park High School. The first Chicago Christian session will find the fourth and fifth graders meeting from a.m. during the week and the sixth and seventh graders p.m. The July camp for incoming eighth and ninth graders will mornings from a.m.

"The camp will be based on the correct teaching of the fundamental individual skills every player needs before he or she can make a significant contribution as a team player," said Slager, the most winningest active in the state of Illinois with 733 prep victories. The cost will be $30 for 25 hours of basketball instruction and $15 for additional interested family member.

Any eighth grader interested in participating in both camps for four weeks can do so for $40. The camp will break down as follows: am general shooting stretching; a.m. offensive instruction; a.m. contests; and a.m. team competition.

The program will include learning the basic fundamentals of shooting ball handling while in team play situations. There will be video-taped shooting evaluation and individualized instruction. Openings still remain at Homer Bill Pavlich says there are also still a few openings left for both sessions the Seventh Annual Homer Basketball Camp to again be held at the 'junior high school. Only around 20 openings remain for a session July 17-21 for fifth and sixth graders and less than 15 openings July 24-28 for seventh and eighth 'graders. The camp will emphasize basketball fundamentals geared to the grade school and junior high level. Rules and regulations, fundamentals of basketball, team play, court behavior and attitude will be covered. A limit of 60 participants a session has been set. Therefore, early registration is advised as both sessions have been filled each of the previous three summers it was attempted. I The fee for the camp is $25 a participant and includes a souvenir camp T-shirt, a basketball booklet, fundamentals of basketball notes, a camp statistics booklet and individual and small-group instruction.

The camp will again be directed by Pavlich, who is the eighth grade coach, and Jeff Anderson, the Homer seventh grade coach. They will again be assisted by several college and high school students who graduated from Homer Junior High School. More information about the camp can be obtained by calling 301-5500. There will be two two-week sessions of the day camp this year.

The first session will begin Monday, June 26, and run through Friday, July0 7. The camp will not meet on July 4. The second session will begin on Monday, July 31, and conclude on Friday, August 11. There will be no sessions on Saturday or Sunday. Each day's activities will begin at 2 p.m.
