KDKA will carry a special program tonight at 11:30 o'clock observance of Washington's Birthday. The broadcast will originate at the annual reunion of the Rainbow Division in Chicago with Maj Gen. William Donovan and a number of other notables as participants. A message will also be read from Gen.

Jordan," on NBC's Theatre Guild on the Air Sunday at 8:30 p. m. Cloris Leachman and Doris Dalton will be featured. A new half-hour Crosby show was inaugurated this week over WCAE in Pittsburgh. Entitled Bing Crosby the Monday through Friday series will be heard at 11 a.

featuring top recordings by Bing as well as latest hit tunes by the nation's outstanding artists. Charles Nuzum is the announcer. Plays seem to be in the vogue this week, and the dramatizations have a little better than average line-up. "Laura" will be the Screen Guild Theatre headliner over KDKA tomorrow at 9 p. starring Dana Andrews, Gene Tierney and Clifton Webb.

Running in direct competition with the NBC drama, will be CBS's Suspense, also heard at 9 p. m. It will feature Dick Powell in the lead role of a chiller, "Slow Burn." Mindy Carson's record of "Candy and Cake" makes you feel good. Carson's vocal charm is used to full advantage on this ditty, which will be whistled after some of the more popular novelty tunes are forgotten. flip-over is "My Foolish Heart," from Samuel Goldwyn's new film by the same name.

Ever wonder about those radio voices on the day-time serials and some of the early evening dramatizations? Despite the variety of castings, many of the voices sound hauntingly familiar. For instance, take this line-up of stars, all heard on CBS' Crime Photographer: Staats Cotsworth, who plays Casey (his biggest role), is also heard on Marriage for Two. Cavalcade of America, Guiding Light and Front Page Farrell. Jan Miner, who portrays Ann, is heard regularly on Hilltop House, Guiding Light, Break the Bank, Right to Happiness and TV's Lights Out. John Gibson, as Ethelbert, is really a busy guyappearing on Wendy Warren, When a Girl Marries, Life Can Be Beautiful, Right to Features For Kinnear, Department Editor.

Telephone 353. Betty Lou Smith, John Stewart, Will Wed Saturday Miss Betty Lou Smith today announced plans for her marriage to John C. Stewart, which will take place on Saturday evening. The wedding ceremony will be performed at 7:30 o'clock in the First Baptist Church with Rev. J.

Sydney Kane, the pastor, hearing the exchange of vows for double-ring service. Miss Lou Boyd, of Franklin, has been chosen by Miss Smith as her maid of honor, and the bridesmaids will be Miss Mary Stevenson, of Franklin, Miss Darolyn Kidd, of Warren, both cousins of the bride. George Stewart, of this city, will serve his brother as best man and the ushers will be Edward Stewart, of Oil City, and Kenneth Phillips, of Franklin. Robert Wilson, the church organist, will provide the music for the wedding and Miss Lois Ann Brinkley will be the vocalist. Following the ceremony a reception will be held at the bride's home for the immediate families and close friends.

Honor Earl Beans At Open House On Silver Anniversary Mr. and Mrs. Earl E. Bean, of Belmar Road Franklin, celebrated their silver wedding anniversary on Saturday afternoon and evening with "open house" at their home. The table was attractivelyappointed with a lace cloth and a centerpiece of spring flowers, guarded by candles on either side The favors were small white napkins decorated with silver inscribed "The Beans 1925-1950." There were 85 guests present.

The couple has resided at the same address since they were married on Feb. 18, 1925 in Franklin. Rev. C. C.

Mohney officiated at their wedding. Mrs. Bean is the former Ethyl Swyers and her husand is an employe of the South Penn Oil Co. They have one daughter, Connie, a Junior in Franklin High School. Assisting with the arrangements for the celebration were: Mrs.

Well-Baby Clinic To Be Held on Thursday The Well-Baby Clinic will be held Thursday at 9:30 a.
