E. Terrill arrived Thursday from Keystone Heights, where they spent the winter, and were guests of the tatter's daughter, Mrs. D. M. Yokes.

They have gone to their home at Conneaut Lake Park for the summer. RECENT DEATHS. George Sloan Bredin. Aftpr a Inns' illness, ferminatinsr in ibronchial pneumonia, George Sloan Bredin died in the Chester County (Hospital, West Chester, March 15. He was a former resident of and a soll of the late Dr.

Stephen jand Catl)erine gi0an Bredin, who came Frankliu albout when Dr. Bredin took over the medical practice of Dr. Snowden. Mr. Bredin is survived by his wife and two' sisters, Misses Christine and Katharine Bredin.

A brother, Rae Sloan Bredin, an artist of New Hope, died two years ago. Mr. Bredin was born in Butler, Pa. When be was 14 years old, he entered Cornell University and later took a course in chemistry at Columbia University to aid him In his work in the oil fields. He married Sarah B.

Bredin in 1907, and they lived at their farm, "Meadowcroft" near West-town, attending Westtown School Friends' meeting. For many years the Laj Mhw ht Thorn- Delaware county, Young Friends' Association. Mrs. William Doyle. Mrs.

"William Doyle, of Stonehoro, died at her home Friday afternoon fol lowing an Illness of two years. She is survived by her husband and two daughters: Mrs. Edward Leathers, of Stoneboro, and Mrs. Fred Emerson, of Maples, N. Y.

Funeral services will toe held Mon-day at the home. Mrs. Doyle is a sister-in-law or Mrs. Camljbell of dty, ELKS WILL ATTEND ST. JOHN'S SERVICES ON SUNDAY EVENING The Franklin Lodge of Elks will attend the services of St.

John's Episcopal Church tomorrow evening, in loving memory of the Very (Rev. Martin Aigner, D. late rector of the church, and chaplain of the lodge for many years. At the same time they will observe their 47th anniversary of the institution of the lodge here in March, 1889. Archdeacon H.

W. Foreman, of the Erie diocese, will be in charge of the service. For many years it has been the custom of the Elks to observe their anniversary attending divine worship, and It is hoped that the attendance this year will be especially large a tribute to the life and work of Dr. Aigner, whose interest in an the worthwhile things of this community was So notable. -The evening offering will go to the Red Cross relief fund.

OLDEST CHIMPANZEE DEAD. SYDNEY, N. S. W. UP Casey believed to be the oldest chimpanzee in captivity, died at the Taronga Park zoo here at the age of 27.

Casey was the most famous monkey in Australia and his antics so amused visitors that he was estimated to be worth at least $2,300 a year to the zoo. m. to 4 9. m. DOCTOR, NURSE TALK TO JUNIOR HI SCHOOL The pupils of the Rocky Grove Junior High School were profitably entertained and instructed in the regular assembly period on Friday afternoon by two enjoyable vocational guidance speakers. Dr.

D. C. Blanchard gave a fine talk on doctoring the traalifications and disadvantages but above all the worthwhile life it involves. Miss Margaret Shannon, surgical nurse at the Franklin Hospital, told of the requirements, time involved, subjects to study in high school to fit oneself for entering the profession. Miss Shannon endeared herself to the THipils in the short time allotted to her for her talk.

The junior high school orchestra furnished music for the occasion. GOOD SAMARITANS MEET. The usually enjoyable quarterly tureen dinner of the Good Samaritan class was held Friday evening in the Evangelical Church basement. Following the supper a program was jirewnted by Mfrs. Riley Adams and iMrs.

Fred Irwin. A Bible contest was conducted by Mrs. Adaime and proved highly educational. Mrs. Irwin eon-ducted an interesting flower game and presented prizes to Mrs.

Ethel Trow, and Mrs. W. G. Firster. Mrs.

Trow pleased with a vocal solo. Mrs. Es-tella "McClintoek had charge of tjhe de-votionals and Mrs. Lester OSepner of the business session. For the April meeting Mrs.

R. Rice. Mrs. C. I Hart hns been named chairman of the committee in charge of the Mrthdny dinner party In June and all members of the class wnose anniversaries occur during the second quarter are asked to report to Mr.

Ruth Authenreith tnd her Orchestra, of Youngstown, will play for an- other of the ever popular Night Clubs at the Franklin Clulb tonight. Dancing will begin at 10 o'clock and those desiring dinner reservations should make them early. At the one held two weeks ago there was attendance of about 100 members ami their guests and proved so delightful that Richard Lamlberton, chairman of the Entertainment Committee, planned another for tonight. Miss Virginia McFarland Initiated Into Sorority. Miss Virginia McFarland, daughter of Mr.

and Mrs. A. K. Rheem, of this city. GOOD WEATHER SPURS CURB MARKET BUYING A score or more of Venango County farmers and marketers opened their stands at the Franklin curb market this morning in the tirst large turnout of produce of the spring season.

The stands had a good patronage ns the marketers were welcomed back to their old places. During the winter, Saturdays have found from one to five stands in operation (it the curb on Twelfth Street, Ibut during the most severe weather, none appeared. Pleasant weather today found ihoth marketers and patrons turning out in the largest numbers since last fall.
