Mr. and Mrs. jack Porter and daugh ter, of Cleveland, spent the Fourth with the former's mother, Mrs. Grace Porter. Mart Hoffman was injured the lat ter part of the week while pulling a well and was taken to the Bashline Hospital, but he is improving.

There were 20 present, which included several visitors: Mrs. Wilbur Kulp, Mrs. Wade Baker, Mrs. Lissa Park, and Mrs. Carl Gadsby.

Making garments for pupils of the mission school, and piecing quilt patches occupied the working period. After the program and devotional hour which was con ducted bv the president, Mrs. Sheriff, a special offering was taken for medi cal missions in foreign countries. The offering amounted to over $. A party was held at the Nystrom home Saturday night in honor of Mrs.

Erik Nystrom, whose birthday was on the Fourth. Miss Ida Nystrom, of City Hospital, Akron, was home for the week-end. J. R. Sopher ami family attended a family reunion Monday at the home of Raymond Smith.

A downpour of rain prevented folks on this road from attending Children's Day service at Amity Sunday night. C. S. Osborn escaped serious injury when a log rolled off the sled last week and struck him on the hip. He and his son-in-law.

Wendell Coulter, were cutting a few logs expecting to have them sawed, providing a new sill for the barn before hay would be put in. Mr. Osborn is able to be about and works some but the soreness is quite evident yet. Mrs. Pavid Carroll and little on.

David Woods, of Cochranton. are spending a few days at her old home this week. Garden stuff is growing rapidly, so are the weeds. Mrs. Lissa Park is visiting her brother.
