Veal Birds. 6 double Teal chops cnt with pockets 2 cups bread crumbs. 2 tablespoons chopped onion. 2 tablespoons chopped green pepper. 2 tablespoons melted butter, hot water, pepper, paprika, salt.

Mix bread, pepper, butter, onion and seasoning. Add enough hot water to moisten bread. Fill pockets of chops with dressing, fasten with toothpicks and sear on both sides. Place chops in ibaking pan with small amount of water and bake one hour at 330 F. Sweet Potatoes in Apple Cups.

V2 cups water. Boil sweet potatoes. Add sugar and water to red hots and heat slowly until dissolved. Scoop out centers of peeled apples, fill with ired hot syrup and simmer slowly 20 minutes, basting often. Fill with potatoes (mashed smooth with milk, brown sugar, salt and nuts).

Whereas, it has become necessary end desirable that a part of that see-ition or portion of Twelfth Street between Liberty and Elk Streets in the City of Franklin, Venango County, Pennsylvania, should be paved and curbed, and "Whereas, there are no properties abutting or abounding upon that portion of Twelfth Street above referred to which are assessable for benefits accruing by reason of such paving end curbing, Now therefore, be it ordained and enacted by the City of Franklin, and )t is hereby ordained and enacted by the authority of the same; Section 1. That a part of that sec-ton or portion of Twelfth Street be-vee Liberty and Elk Streets be faved and curbed, said paving and Curbing to be constructed according to flans and specifications prepared by ih City Engineer, and such materials as may be approved by Council, paid plans, to be attached to and made a part of this ordinance. Section 2. The paving of said portion of Twelfth Street shall be substantially as herein described, In two sections, extending 28 feet on each side and at right angles to a strip 40 feet wide to remain unpavod in the center of said street and extending from a point near the north line of Liberty Street to a point near the south line of Elk Street. Section 3.

Beginning at the northerly line of the pavement of Liberty Street, the east and west sides of said part of Twelfth Street shall lie paved and curbed in two strips, each having a maximum width of 29 feet, and extending to the southerly line of the pavement of Elk Street. A space of a maximum width of 40 foot is to remain 5 cups bread flour. 2 cups lukewarm water. Crumble yeast in bowl, add sugar, salt and water. Add shortening and flour.

Knead well. Place In well- ereased bowl and let rise to double in bulk. Knead down and chill In refrigerator. Cover tightly and use when desired. Bake 20 minutes at 430 F.
