Mrs. Catherine Sweeney. Mrs. Catherine Sweeney, aged 95 years, one of the oldest residents of the community, died at 9:15 o'clock Wednesday night at the home of her daughter, Mrs. Catherine Zesky, 515 Bissell avenue.

She haji been ill for one week. Mrs. Sweeney had been a resident of Oil City for 70 years, and was the oldest member of St. Joseph's church. She was Iborn in New Derry, Westmoreland county, in 1S36, coming to Oil City in 1861.

Her liusbaad, Patrick Sweeney, died 59 years ago. Surviving are one daughter, Mrs. Attend Reciprocity Meeting. Forty women of the Good Hope Lutheran church of this city, motored to Venus Wednesday afternoon and attended the annual reciprocity meeting of the Lutheran ladies of Tionesta, Shtppenville, Oil City, and Venus. Both morning and afternoon sessions were held, and the paper at the morning sessions was read by Mrs.

Grover Hetrick of Shippenville on the topic "Can We Afford to do Foreign Mission Work." Mrs. J. F. Westinghouse, of Oil City, read a paper at the afternoon session, on the subject "How to Win the Unchurched." An offering was taken, and will be tent to the foreign mission treasury.
