ABBOTSFORD, SUMAS AMY EVELINE LANFRANCO. A resident of this area since 1930, Mrs. Amy Eveline Lanfranco, late of 106-33555 South Fraser Way, died on April 8 in the MSA General Hospital at the age of 77 years. Born in Pendock, England, Mrs. Lanfranco was a member of Rebekah Lodge Abbotsford and a member of the Clayburn Women's Institute.

Predeceased by her husband Victor in 1936, she is survived by one daughter Mrs. P. (Amy) Skjolde of Clayburn and one grandson Donald of Clayburn. Funeral service was held on Tuesday, April 12 at 11 a.m. from the chapel of Henderson's Funeral Home, Rev.

Born in Saskatchewan, Miss Zabolotny was a legal secretary and had resided in this area for the past nine months. She was formerly of San Francisco. Funeral service was held on Saturday, April 9 at 1 p.m. from the chapel of Henderson's Puneral Home, Rev. R. M. Pollock officiating.

Interment followed in the Hazelwood cemetery. RUSSELL DUANE HICKINBOTTOM Russell Duane Hickinbottom, 12 year old son of Roy and Christine Hickinbottom of 6763 Satchell Road, Mt. Lehman, died on April 7 as the result of an accident. Born in Nottingham, England, Russell came to Canada in 1965 and resided in Vancouver until moving to the Mt. Lehman area 10 months ago.

He was a student at Mt. Lehman School. Besides his parents he is survived by one sister Diane and one brother Adam, both at home; his paternal grandparents Leonard and Dorothy of Pemberton and his maternal grandparents Tom and Mary Lowe in England. Funeral mass is being held today, April 13 at 10 a.m. from St.

Ann's Catholic Church, Rev. Father Nick Boomars celebrant. Interment follows in the Mt. Lehman cemetery. Henderson's Funeral Home in charge of arrangements.

LARRY ROLAND GREER Funeral service is being held today, April 13 at 1:30 p.m. from St. Ann's Catholic Church for Larry Roland Greer of Victoria who was killed in a car accident at the Vedder Canal April 8. Born in Calgary 17 years ago, Larry had resided in Victoria until moving to Calgary recently. He is survived by his parents Carvil and Aline Greer of Victoria; two sisters Mrs.

Stewart (Debby) Bendick of 100 Mile House and Cathy Greer of Victoria; his paternal grandparents Mr. and Mrs. Lawrence Greer of New Brunswick and his maternal grandparents Mr. and Mrs. Roland Brisebois of Prince Albert, Saskatchewan and several aunts and uncles.

Rev. Father Nick Boomars celebrated the funeral mass and interment followed in the Royal Oak cemetery, Victoria. Henderson's Home in charge of arrangements. WILLIAM LAWRENCE KIMBER William Lawrence Kimber, late of Coquitlam, died in hospital April 5 at age 53. Mr.

SUSIE KASPER Mrs. Susie Kasper, late of 4127 Eckert Road, Yarrow, died in the Chilliwack General Hospital on April 7 at the age of 70 years. Mrs. Kasper was born in Russia. She was predeceased by her husband Isaac and is survived by three sons Isaac of Yarrow, John of Okanagan Falls and Bill of Abbotsford; two daughters Susan Fast of Powell River and Sarah Martens of Yarrow; 15 children and one great grandchild.

Funeral service was held on Tuesday, April 12 at 2 p.m. from the First Mennonite Church, Yarrow, Pastor Henry Classen officiating. Interment followed in the Yarrow cemetery. Pallbearers were Isaac, John and Bill Kasper, Doug, Ken and Ron Martens. Woodlawn Funeral Home in charge of arrangements.

AGATHA GOERTZ Mrs. Agatha Goertz, late of Lynden Street, Clearbrook, died on April 6 in the MSA General Hospital at the age of 76 years. Born in Komischow, Orenburg, Russia, Mrs. Goertz was formerly of Yarrow. She is survived by her husband Daniel; two sons Elmer of Clearbrook and Walter of Victoria; two daughters Lottie Coulson of Kelowna and Mrs.

Cliff (Ruby) Mayoh of Illinois; and four grandchildren. Also surviving are three brothers Martin Derksen in Ontario, Jake Derksen i in Manitoba and Henry Derksen of Fresno, California; three sisters Mrs. Katherine Neufeld of Clearbrook, Mrs. Nettie Giesbrecht of Yarrow and Mrs. Justina Peters of Sardis.

Funeral service was held on Saturday, April 9 at 1 p.m. from the Bakerview Mennonite Brethren Church, Pastor Ben Zerbe and Rev. David Friesen officiating. Interment followed in the Yarrow cemetery. Pallbearers were Walter Derksen, Bill Giesbrecht, Henry Nickel, Peter Giesbrecht, Harvey Enns and Jake Nickel.

Woodlawn Funeral Home in charge of arrangements. JACOB ESAU Jacob Esau, late of 31944 Sunrise Crescent, Clearbrook, died in the MSA General Hospital on April 7 at the age of 91 years. A retired farmer, Mr. Esau was born in Schoenhorst, Russia, and resided in Chilliwack and Sardis until moving to Clearbrook in 1954. He was predeceased his first wife Helen in 1958 and by one son Abe in 1973.

He is survived by his wife Sarah; six sons Jacob and Martin, both of Clearbrook, Henry of Chilliwack, Peter of Poplar Point, Manitoba, John of Prince George and Isaac of Sardis; one daughter Mrs. Jacob (Justina) Froese of Phoenix, Arizona; 27 grandchildren; 48 great grandchildren; four great great grandchildren and one brother Peter of Chilliwack. Funeral service was held on Monday, April 11 at 10 a.m. from the Clearbrook Mennonite Brethren Church, Pastor John G. Baerg, Rev.

Jacob A. Froese and Rev. Henry Regehr officiating. Interment followed in the Mennonite Hazelwood cemetery. Pallbearers were Mr.

Esau's six sons, Jacob, Martin, Henry, Peter, John and Isaac Esau. Woodlawn Funeral Home in charge of arrangements. Bibles may be placed as a continuing memorial through the Gideons. Well known sportsman Last rites Tuesday for Bill Kielo Funeral service was held yesterday, April 12 at 2:30 p.m. from the chapel of Henderson's Funeral Home for John Williarh (Bill) Kielo, who died April 9 in the MSA General Hospital.

Well known in sports circles in the area, Mr. Kielo was keenly interested in softball and was a player, coach and umpire for senior teams. More recently he was announcer and statistician for the senior men's league and a coach and umpire of girls' softball teams. He was also an active bowler. Born in Yorkton, Saskatchewan on November 8, 1911, Mr.

Kielo had resided here since 1943. During World War II he served overseas and following the war he was a rural mail carrier and oil distributor before becoming a civilian driver for the department of National Defence. He is survived by his wife Frances at the family home, 2155 Emerson Street; one daughter Mrs. David (Barbara) Brandon of Nelson; one son John William David Kielo of Fort John and three grandchildren. Also surviving are three sisters Mrs.

Annie Hebert of Edmonton, Mrs. Alice Knoll of Yorkton, Saskatchewan and Mrs. Ilene Weaver of Niagara Falls, Ontario and one brother Wesley Kielo of Delisle, Saskatchewan; 29 nieces and nephews.
