Traendly, horticulturist here and one of the leading wholesale florists in New York City, died yesterday her home after a She was 67 and a native of New York City. 1 The family moved to the Traendly country home here two years ago after residing more than 40 years at 991 Ocean Brooklyn.

A leader in charity work, Mrs. Traendly was president of the Tiny Tim Society of the House of St. Giles the Cripple in Brooklyn, and member of the board of trustees. Formerly for 10 years she was president of the board of managers of Faith Home for Incurables, also in Brooklyn. She was a member of the Norwalk Old Ladies Home, the Protestant Big Sisters of Brooklyn and the Ladies Aid Society of St.

Paul's Episcopal Church, Brooklyn, and a charter member and one-time presldent of the Ladies Society of the American Florists. In addition to her husband she leaves three daughters, Mrs. C. Talbot Squier and Mrs. Charles A.

Kahl of New York and Mrs. Ormand Mil- Aaron Litke, 60, Clothing Designer Boro Man Also Active In Fraternal Circles Aaron Litke, 60, a designer of children's clothes and active in Brooklyn fraternal circles, died yesterday at his home, 320 Empire Boulevard. He was past president of Brooklyn City Lodge 331, Independent Order of Brith Sholom, and was the oldest member of the Rochester 400, comprised of a group of families that settled more than 30 years ago in the Crow Hill section at Rochester Ave. and Park Place. Brawn, veteran actor who WAS associated with the stage for half a century, died yesterday in New York Hospital at the age of 74. He lived for many years in Brooklyn, considered it his home and was "discovered" by George Ryer while performing at a church benefit sponsored by Henry Ward Beecher. His Brooklyn home was at 23 Middagh St.

and his Manhattan home 44 E. 56th St. Mr. Brawn was born in Manhattan and was known as "the boy whistler." His first stage appearance was in "The Two Sisters" at Fred Niblo's Gardens in 1888. In 1894 he went on the road with the Hoyt McKee Company and was whistling waiter in "A Trip to Chinatown." In the comedy "Our New Minister" he played the part of "Skeezicks," written for 'him.

Sadie Goldberg, Mrs. May Pakula, Mrs. Frances Eckman and Bertha Bogin. Albert B. Hart, 88, Dean of Historians Cambridge, June 17 (U.P.) Funeral services for Albert Bushnell Hart, 88, dean of American historians, will be held Saturday in the Harvard Memorial Chapel.

Hart, who achieved worldwide prominence through his predictions of events leading to World War II, died at his home yesterday. He had served nearly 50 years as history and government professor at Harvard University. Dr. Hart was author of more than 250 volumes dealing with history, literature and education. In March of 1938 the bearded historian predicted that Hitler would seize Czechoslovakia and then take over Poland.

He also foresaw a total war between Russia and Germany, with Britain and France allies of the Soviet. Hart also predicted United States intervention in the world conflict, the crushing weight of aerial warfare and the importance of oil in determining victory. STerling 3-7700 Ample, homelike facilities are part of our service Rabbi H. I. Rosen Drowned at Beach Secretary of Rabbinical Council of America The Rev. Herman I. Rosen, rabbi of Congregation B'nai Yechiel Askenazi, 320 Brighton Beach and secretary of the Rabbinical Council of America, was drowned last night while swimming off Brighton 6th Brighton Beach.

He was 42 and lived at 601 Brightwater Court. Considered a good swimmer, Rabbi Rosen apparently was a victim of cramps. Two municipal lifeguards, noticing he was in difficulty rowed to his aid and brought him ashore. Efforts to revive him, however, were of no avail. The funeral was held today from his home, with services at the synagogue.

Burial was in Mount Judah Cemetery, Elmont. Gets Army Commission Rabbi Rosen, who was a brother of Rabbi Nathan N. Rosen, spiritual head of Judea Center, Bedford Ave. and Clarkson was a former vice president of the Jewish Ministers Association had the Brooklyn, day before accepted a commission as chaplain in the army and was to leave soon for the chaplains' school at Harvard University. He was to participate next Tuesday in the unveiling of an honor roll for men in the service at his synagogue, and it was said there today that the first gold star will be placed beside his name.

He was born in Russia and came to the United States 30 years ago. He studied at Yeshiva Chaim Berlin School, the Talmudical Academy in Manhattan, the Yeshiva College in Manhattan and Columbia University. He was ordained in 1925. He then went to Altoona, as rabbi of Congregation B'nai Israel and then became rabbi of the Manhattan Beach Jewish Center. For the last 14 years he was rabbi of the Brighton Beach congregation.

He was a fervent Zionist and was founder of the Yeshiva of Brighton Beach. He was the son of Mr. and Mrs. Benzion Rosen, both long prominent in Jewish educational and religious circles. Surviving also are his widow, Mrs.

Rosen, and two sons, Solomon and Ephraim, both students at Yeshiva College; a brother, Staff Sgt. Henry R. Rosen, former executive director of Judea Center; two sisters, Mrs. Rebecca Feldbin and Augusta Rosen, and a nephew, Rabbi Abraham Feldbin, recently assigned to a congregation in Auburn, N. Y.

Leo T. Heatley, Newspaper Man West Englewood, N. June 17- Leo T. Heatley, a newspaper man in New York for many years, died today in a hospital at Ridgewood, N. J.

His home was at 126 Ayers Court. Mr. Heatley, who was was copy editor of the Press Information Department, Columbia Broadcasting System, New York, when stricken with bronchial pneumonia several ago. He is survived by his Mrs. Martha Heatley, weeks, and two daughters.

Doris and Joan. During his newspaper career Mr. Heatley worked on many important news events either as a reporter or a rewrite man, including the Snyder-Gray murder case, the HallMills murder case, the Lindbergh kidnapping and its aftermath, the trial of Bruno Richard Hauptmann. At the Hauptmann trial in Flemington, N. it was estimated that he wrote nearly a million words in long hand at the courtroom press table as correspondent for the Standard News Association.

The road recently asked that the fare be Increased to 10 cents but this request was rejected. The Offices of Price Administration and Economic Stabilization had opposed the request as inflationary.

The board set the termination date for the program as June 30, 1944.

Taxes continued in effect are the 1 percent sales tax, including the provision for 1 percent taxing of purchases made outside the city; a gross receipts tax on business of one-twentieth of 1 percent, a gross receipts tax on financial houses of one-tenth of 1 percent, a gross earnings tax on utility concerns of 1 percent and a gross earnings tax on conduit companies of 3 percent. URGES WAR WORK TO BOOST WHITE COLLAR PAY A plan to boost the income of white collar workers by instituting short shifts in war plants and allowing them to do part -time work is advocated by A. Joseph Geist, president of the Rockaway Chamber of Commerce. He said the executive committee of the chamber has been asked to consider an appeal to Government agencies along that line. White collar workers have a definite cost-of-living problem, Geist asserted, as they have been overlooked in the rush for jobs.

Geist's plan was urged in connection with reports that seasonal operators in the Rockaway face serious labor shortages. SPEED DELIVERY OF NEW RATION BOOK Volunteer workers at the Office of Price Administration headquarters at 330 5th Manhattan, completed checking of applications for War Ration Book 3 last night, clearing up the first step in the process of putting books in the hands of more than 13,000,000 persons in the State. Charles Dunn, regional district OPA specialist, announced that by tomorrow at least 50 percent of the books will have been delivered in the State and that the delivery job will be completed by next Friday, He said the speed with which the task is being finished is due to the co-operation of several thousand volunteers. Rea, 72, who formerly for 35 years was employed as a structural ironworker on the Brooklyn Bridge, died yesterday at his home, 113-30 212th Queens Village, after four months' illness. He retired eight years ago. He was born in Ireland and was brought to the United States as an infant. Until he moved 10 years ago to Queens he had lived in Brooklyn practically all his life.
