It didn take the Bulldogs long lo get on the scoreboard in the early part of the game. On the first series of downs the Moccasins Ronnie Wade tired to punt from his own 30 but Brad Hamilton and Guy Harvey came steaming through to block the kick and Harvey picked it up on the 10 and went in for the score. Landry booted time Landry tried to kick the ball and it went wide with 8:46 remaining. Chattanooga took the football and tried to move but had to call on Wade who booted it to the Southwestern 28. Bill Bayard hit Landry for eight yards and then Weber connected with Kleinpeter for two eight yard completions and another for .10 to move the ball to the Chattanooga-39.

EM 9-9105 brilliant season for the Bulldogs the best in the last 27 years for a Southwestern eleven. The Bulldogs claimed the co-championship in the Gulf states Conference and rolled up the best season record in conference. It climaxed a 7-3 season for aulkinberry and his Caiuns and this year has to go down as one of the greatest in the history of the university. The murderous schedule definitely the PAT it 7-0 with took its toll on the Cajuns but they fought back like champions and claimed the GSC title and earned the respect the entire state with their courageous play. The Cajuns missed a tie with Chattanooga by one finger tip end as it turned out the Bull-dogs mistakes cost them the game.

But one can hardly blame the Cajuns for mis takes as this was their third game in 12 days and the Bulldogs went out against Chattanooga with flying colors. But Ed Pratt intercepted Dop Shavers pass on the USL four to end that threat. The Cajuns couldnt get out od' the hole and Chester Gosnell had to kick out from his own six. He boomed it out to the Chattanooga 44. The Moccasins drove the Bulldog 10 where the Cajuns rose up to stop them but Ferreia booted a 28 yard field goal to run the count to 10-7. The Bulldogs took the football and failed to move and Gos nell kicked from his own 36 to the Chattanooga 19 where Joe Dunn hauled the ball in and cut up the right side for 81 yards and a touchdown.
