Burlington (N.C) TIMES NEWS Sept. 17, 1975 Makes 'Cheap Movie New Filmmaker Persists wasted money." Now, with that experiment behind him, he figures he knows a little something about what he's doing in the movie business. And so he's anxious to make another movie. "I want to do it," he says, "just so I can prove to myself that I can make a good film and a profitable one," long and noble career in movies and TV, has found peace and happiness in another field he is now one of our more successful novelists. "I don't miss the movie and TV business at all," says Sheldon, who wrote more than 23 movies and created The Patty Duke Show and I Dream of Jeannle for TV.

"I've been writing since I was 17 I actually sold my first thing when I was 13 "I lost around three million," Crean says, "so I decided I'd, better learn something about movie production I'm a production man from way back. So he gat a cheap script and made his own movie, at his ranch in San Juan Capistrano. It was never meant to be released, just sort of a production experiment. Crean watched every penny. John Crean found that out the hardway. Crean is hugely successful in his own field.
