Few of Walter Slrzak's present-generation admirers remember that the burly actor was wire a lissome, handsome, wholesome leading man on the stage In the and In the movies. As a joke, and to torture myself Klezak recently resurrected a set of pictures taken of himself as a gorgeous Juvenile and reposed them with his present load of added years and multiplied poundage. They include the suave pose with the straw skimmer and rune, the muscle man shot In gym leotard, the boxer pose a la John L. Sullivan and the classic profile all so popular with our mothers some years ago. The funniest thing about the pictures and they're pretty funny Is the expression in Slezak's fare In every one of the "after" shots.

It's a kind of "Yeah, well, what do yon have to nay about this, wise guy?" sneer that convulsed us when we saw them. Sighs Slezak with a twinkle, "Ach, I hate to say it, but This Is My Life!" Though you don't see them, some of the releases sent out by network press departments are begging for trouble. Like this one, for instance which we quote verbatim but had to cut short because of lack of space: "Hollywood, Ian. dancing and comedy star Raymond Wallace (played by Ray Bolder, who should know better) Yup.
