jiuw.ii SHE HEARD THE CALL OF CITY. TAKE YOUR CUP ALONG. New Ruling of Stale Board of Health Went Into Effect Last Night. Young Wife Heard Tempter's Yoice and Deserted Home. For Fall 1 EdDTMEMIBEEG UU LMbA Hutchinson, Sept.l The lure of the city has won in another rural drama of every day life.

As a result, Mrs James Seitsinger of Iuka, in Pratt county, arrived in this city in search of her daughter-in-law Mrs F. R. Seitsinger, 20 years old, who, accompanied by her two children aged 3 and 4 years, left their home in Iuka. The trio accompanied by William Somms, had gone to Cullison, where, it was learned, tickets for this city were secured. Upon investigation here it has been learned that the couple spent the night at Grandview rooming house, since which time no trace of them can be found.

In speaking of the affair, Mrs Seitsinger states she had no idea of any such action on the part of her daughter-in-law being even contemplated. R. F. About midnight last night the conductors cf passenger trains in Kansas, rthe brakemen or porter, passed through the trains, gathered up all the common drinking cups and either threw them out the window or placed them under lock and key. The order of the State Board of Health abolishing all common drinking cups in trains, depots and other public places, went into effect at midnight last night. Most of the railroads were more than willing to conform with this ruling. Some cf them dispensed with the drinking cup before the ruling went into effect. The railroads as a rule are said to be glad to get rid of the drinking cup.

The public is divided on the question. Many travelers agree with the State Board of Health and believe that the drinking cup is a menace because they have been deprived of the use of the cup. It doesn't make any difference to the board one way or the other: The only way to get water on a Kansas train hereafter will bo to rarry an individual cup or drink frcm the faucet. Cheap paper cups will be carried on practically all trains and they can be purchased for almost nothing by passengers. There will be some penny-in-the-slot cup machines at railway stations and supplies can be laid in before starting on a trip.

The common drinking cups will be used on interstate trains until they reach the Kansas line. They will then be taken up and distributed again after the opposite state line has been reached. This amount the young woman had in her possession when she left home with Somms. From all the information that could be secured here it seems that Scmms first met the young wife during the Pratt county fair, at which he conducted a cold drink stand. The fact that he was paying any special attention to the young woman he has succeeded in luring away from home was unknown and came as a complete surprise to the residents of Iuka.

Mrs Seitsinger states that a warrant has been issued at Pratt for Somms' arrest, charging him with defrauding a hotelkeeper. The case has been placed in the hands of the police department here and efforts are now being made tc locate the couple. It is scarcely believed they are at present in this vicinity.
