FARRELL I'uited I'rr Staff OorrcpIet NEW YORK, Nov. 1L Armistice Day finds the fooiball legion drawn up ready for a series of the most bitter battles of the season tomorrow. The championship of the east may be decided througfl three major contests thac furnish one of the most attractive cards of the hectic season Through its traditional prestige, the second of the "Big Three" battles ber Iween Princeton and Yale at New Haven will be the ranking game of the card. The skirmish between the Tiger and the Bui! Dog will be more important also because the Yale eleven, the great! esc Blue aggregation of years, stant'sj for the eastern title. SiiMGimded by color almost ss in- teresting, the great Penn State eleven ah dthe Navy perhaps will be the finest game of the day.

Both elevens are championship contenders, and both have unsualy. fine teams. Both play a smashing offensive game. With three such sterling backtiokl stars at Capt. Snell, Killinger and Lightner, Pen State is regarded as a slight favorite.

The Navy line is perhaps the greatest in the east, however, and the State backfield will face its stiffest opposition of the season. Pittsburgh, also running in the front rank for the tittle, will have a lough opponent in the big Washington and Jefferson team which has been steaming along over all opposition. Since being defeated in an early game by Lafayette, tiie Panthers have been playing a wonderful game and they have caampionrhip aspirations. Harvard, getting ready for the Yale game next week, has Brown for an opponent. Many critics believe the Crimson to be in need of hard worK and no easy tussle with the Bears may not do Capt.

Kane's eleven the necessary good. Although both are out of the running, the DartmtHUli-Pbnhsylvania game on the Polo Grounds here should develop into a good game. Wisconsin, standing for the Western conference tille, meets Michigan and Chicago takes on Illinois, while Ohio State is having it out with Purdue. Iowa appears to have an easy foe in Indiana.
