Nayior for the past two years and has been one of the most popular and admired members of the college family. When she first came to Athens from her home to Manassas, she immediately made many friends both at college and among the people of Athens, who are glad that her marriage will be the cause of her becoming permanently a resident of this section. Mr. Wright is one of North Alabama's test known young lawyers and the present popular solicitor of the eighth judicial circuit to which position he was elected two years ago by a most flattering vote. His high character and fine attainments have made him many friends in Limestone, who heartily congratulate him on his success in winning so winsome a bride.

OUver Wade has been removed to her home from the Baugh Infirmary where she underwent medical treatment for a few -days. Misses Elizabeth Perry and Elizabeth, Webb, of Birmingham, will arrive Sunday to be the guests of Mr. and Mrs. E. W.

McLeod. Frank Gilchrist. of Court-land, is the guest of John Higson for a few days. Summer School Will Open on June Sixth UNIVERSITY, June 3. The University of Alabama will open for its annual summer session Monday morning, June 6.

Registration is scheduled for Monday and Tuesday, and regular class work is to com mence Wednesday. Dr. John R. McLure, director of the summer school, announced that a meeting of deans, administrative and department heads has been called for Saturday night. A general meeting of the summer school faculty will be held at 8 o'clock Monday morning at which time final announcements and detailed plans for registration will be given the teaching force.

POINTER-IB WIN A marriage which united two prominent local citizens, was that of Mrs. Zoe L. Irwin and Mr. Phillip Pointer. The cere mony was a quiet one, only a few relative! being present.

Mr. and Mrs. Pointer are at their lovely country home, "Irwinton" where they are receiving the con gratulations and best wishes of their many friends. RIVERSIDE. Miss Sarah Baker is reported doing fine at her home on Line street where on last week she sustained a broken wrist in a fall. Her many friends here will regret to know that, Miss Harriett Lide, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Frank Lide, is confined to their home suffering with a broken leg. Mis.

W. P. Baugh and Mr. and Mrs. Henry Cullom motored to Birmingham to spend Friday Mr.

and Mrs. James Ratliffe were dinner guests of friends in Hart- selle on last evening. Miss Maurice Dysart had her tonsils removed Thursday and said to be resting well at the home of Mrs. W. A.
