Charles S. Joy and Miss Mary A. Adams of Springfield, left America in July, and after traveling extensively in England and visiting London. Strat-ford-on-Avon and Cheshire, came to Paris a little over six weeks ago, and after remaining two or three weeks longer will visit the South of France and Italy, and return to America in July of next year. Dr.

T. Henry Tubman and F. S. Barnum, of Cleveland, have spent the last five weeks in England, Scotland and Ireland. They will remain in Paris some time, and then visit Italy and Switzerland before returning to America.

David Litchfield of London arrived in Paris six months ago to engage in study, and expects to remain here a year and perhaps longer. W. W. E. William rville J.

Paris, November 22 For the flrst time In many weeks the Bureau has had an unusual number of visitors.

At tni3 season of the year, the arrivals from America are few in number, and those who come to the French capital do so generally with the intention of spending the winter. The present week however has been exceptional in this respect and while many have come to take up their together with rates, etc. Travelers to the South have found the journey much more agreeable since the inauguration of the new express service between Paris and Nice which has reduced the time to thirteen hours. The railways are making every effort to reduce the time from England to Italy and the South, which is an inducement to English and American tourists to visit the southern countries. Since the presidential election, the newspaper flies at tne Bureau have been eagerly Fought by visitors from America, regarding the exact number of voles cast for the sevc-eral candidates in the different stales.

It has interested not only Americans but the French people generally who all along have followed the campaign and who are enthusiastic in their admiration of President Roosevelt, who, in fact, commands universal respect. The arrivals at the hotels also have been numerous, and not a few have been prominent Americans. Vernon A. Joy. of Brooklyn, sailed for Europe on October 22, and after visiting London and traveling through Nottingham, went to Brussels by way of Calais.

Mr. Joy arrived in Paris during the early part of last week and sailed for America on November 1. Mrs. Daniel Mangam, of Brooklyn, and her two daughters, after remaining in Dresden for a year, and sojourning in Switzerland for some time, recently returned to Paris, and will sail for home on December 16. The Etta Reed Payton Dramatic Society is rehearsing for the coming production of the comedy, "Saratoga," to be given at Prospect Hall, on Tuesday evening. December 27.
