NovrKnr Patrick Dennis, 'Auntie Mame' Author Was 55 NEW YORK (UPI) Funeral services for author Patrick Dennis, who died Saturday of cancer, will be private. Dennis, who was 55, wrote "Auntie Mame," his best-selling novel that was published in 1955.

It was adapted into a Broadway play starring Rosalind Russell in 1956 and later became the musical comedy, "Mame." Miss Russell also starred in the movie version of Dennis' book. Between 1951 and 1971 the author, born Edward Everett Tanner in, wrote 12 novels as "Patrick Dennis" and four more under the pseudonym of "Virginia Row-ens." He once had three novels simultaneously on bestseller lists. He is survived by his wife Louise and two children. Mrs. Helen Lipari, Ex-Preakness LPN SEMINOLE, Fla.

Mrs. Helen Philon Lipari, 80, or this township died Friday in Clearwater Community Hospital, Clearwater, Fla. Born in Paterson, N.J., she lived there before moving to Seminole four years ago. a licensed practical nurse, she worked at Preakness Hospital in Wayne, for 20 years, retiring in 1971, and was a former parishioner of St. Theresa R.C.

Church in Paterson. The funeral service will be held 8:30 a.m. Tuesday from the Patrick J. Conte Funeral Home, 274 Market Elmwood Park, with a 9:30 Mass in St. Leo's R.C.

Church, Elmwood Park. Interment will be in Calvary Cemetery, Paterson. Surviving are a son, Lawrence Qf Seaside Heights, N.J.; two daughters, Mrs. Margaret Brennan of Manchester Township, N.J. and Mrs.

Claire Kagelaris of Seminole; a sister, Mrs. Ann Teaford of St. Petersburg, 10 grandchildren and 13 great-grandchildren. Germaine Priels, 71, Ex-Con Ed Officer HAWTHORNE Germaine Priels, 71, of this borough died Saturday at the Deliridge Nursing Home, Paramus, after a lengthy illness. Born in Paterson, she had lived in Hawthorne for the past six years and was a retired administrative assistant for the savings and loan division of Consolidated Edison, New York City.

Miss Priels was a member of St. Paul's Episcopal Church in Paterson, Little Falls Chapter 225, Order of the Eastern Star and the Lost Chords of New Jersey. She was a volunteer at the Greater Paterson General Hospital, Wayne and a member of the Hawthorne Unit of the Passaic County Republican League. The funeral service will be at 10:30 a.m. Tuesday in the Browning-Forshay Funeral Home, 557 Lafayette Hawthorne, with the Rev.

Mary Francis Evans, associate pastor of St. Paul's Episcopal Church, officiating Interment will be in Laurel Grove Memorial Park, Toto-was. She leaves a cousin, Mrs. Louis (Ruth) Natale of Paul Koukos; Crash Victim WYCKOFF A funeral service for Paul Koukos, 22, a recreation advisor who died Friday from injuries in a car accident, was held today at the Vander Plaat Funeral Home, 257 Godwin Ave. Mr.

Koukos, according to Ridgewood police, struck a tree on East Ridgewood Avenue sometime Thursday after his car apparently went out of control. He died Friday in Valley Hospital, Ridgewood. Born in Jackson Heights, N.Y., he lived in Little Neck, N.Y. before moving to this township eight years ago. He was a physical education major and a senior at William Paterson College, Wayne, a member of its tennis team and manager of the women's tennis team.

Mr. Koukos was employed by the Recreation Department of Englewood Cliffs. He was a member of St. Nicholas Greek Orthodox Church, where he was a Sunday School teacher, a junior advisor to the Youth Club and the athletic advisor. Following the funeral service, interment was in Fair Lawn Memorial Cemetery.

He leaves his parents, Christos and Dorothy; a brothers, Chris, at home; his paternal grandmother, Mrs. Areti Koukos of Astoria, N.Y. and his maternal grandmother, Mrs. Anna Borloglou of Wyckoff. Born in West Milford, he lived in Bloomingdale for the past 75 years. He was a retired farmer and baker, an Army veteran of World War a parishioner of St. Anthony's R.C. Church, Butler, and a member of John Dean Post 154, American Legion. The funeral service will be at 9 a.m.

Mr. Crum leaves his wife, Mary; a daughter, Miss Patricia Crum, and five sons, Claud, Ronald, Bruce and Gregory, all of Blooming-dale, and Kenneth of Hones-dale, a brother, William Crum of Bloomingdale; 18 grandchildren and two greatgrandchildren. Mrs. Ransom, born in Detroit, had lived in Cleveland before moving here in 1975. She was a member of Advent Church. Surviving are her husband, Stephen; a daughter, Can-dyce at home; her mother, Mrs. Elsa Hurlin, and a sister, Jeanie Sparks, both of Adrian, Mich.
