Homemakers Plan Achievement Day, Party 50TH ANNIVERSARY Mr. and Mrs. Alton Robbins will observe their 50th wedding anniversary Sunday, December 11 from 2 to 4 p.m. at the Cameron Community Center, 704 W. 6th Street.

The party will be hosted by their children, Gene Day of Austin, Cheryl Staton of Stephenville, and Jackie Pate of Dumas. The couple also has five grandchildren. The Robbins were married December 23 in Cameron. Mr. Robbins is a missionary minister and a carpenter.

The Robbins invite their friends and relatives to join with them on this joyous occasion since love and friendship are their most treasured gifts. By Chyis Holcombe Milam County Extension Agent Mark your calendar for December 12. This is the date for the annual Milam County Extension Homemakers Achievement Day and Christmas Party. This year the activity will be held at the Cameron Community Center, 704 West 6 th Street in Cameron starting at 10:30 a.m. with registration and coffee.

The First Cameron Extension Homemakers Club will be hosting the event this year. The program beginning at 11 a.m. will be on Ideas for the Holiday Season by Pam Hacker, consumer information specialist from Lone Star Gas Company in Temple The program will cover holiday decorations, food ideas for the holidays, new recipes, and gifts from the home. A covered dish luncheon will follow During the luncheon the outstanding rookie extension homemaker of the year for 1983 will be honored. Also, a review of extension program conducted for 1983 and plans for 1984 will be covered by extension agent Chris Holcombe.

New officers for the 1984 Milam County Extension Homemakers council will be installed and the 1984 committees will meet and make recommendations for 1984. Rosemary Riola, Milam County 4-H council chairman, will present a program on her trip to National 4-H Citizenship Shortcourse and Heritage Tour Following the business session, the annual Christmas party with exchange of gifts and refreshments will be held COOKBOOKS FOR SALE Looking for a Christmas gift or a wedding present The Milam County Extension Homemakers Council still has a few Texas Extension Homemaker Cookbooks for sale. These are available in the county extension office and sell for $10 each. Women's Aglow The fourth annual joint meeting of the Milam County Chapter of Full Gospel Business Fellowship and the Rockdale Chapter of Aglow Fellowship will be held Saturday December 10 at the Patterson Civic Center, Fairpark, Rockdale. Richard Crowe, president of the group, extends an invitation to the entire community to attend the buffet and meeting.

Guest speaker will be Morris Sheats, a congressional candidate and former pastor of Trinity Church in Lubbock and Beverly Hills Baptist in Dallas. Porcelain Art Guild The Cameron Porcelain Art Guild held their Christmas party in the Cameron Community Center on December 1 Mrs. Molly Richter, club president, called the meeting to order and introduced Rev.

James Lafferty who gave the devotional. Mrs. Elizabeth Waddel. and Mrs. Maurice Heitman decorated the room and tables in Christmas colors for the occasion Red place mats and glasses accented the white table clothes Each table held brass candelabras with red candles, circled by a wreath of holly.

The table holding the food was covered with a red cloth. Turkey and all the traditional Christmas dishes were served. Mrs. Frances Hensley prepared a post forthemug exchange among the club members. After the program, each member went to the post office to get their a beautifully hand-painted mug done by one of the club members.

Mrs Hensley gave a short talk about Christmas before introducing the Phil Smith family. They gave a musical program for the group Phil, Jane, Jennifer, Emily and Nathan all sang a variety of Christmas carols. The children sang trios, duets and harmonized with Jane accompanying on the piano. Everyone was able to join in the singing and catch the Christmas spirit. Hostesses for the party were Lilia Rogers and Duffie Caperton with all the members bringing a covered dish.

Many gifts were exchanged and an enjoyable time was had by all. Club photographer, Mrs. Erma Dodson was kept busy. ENGAGEMENT ANNOUNCED Dr and Mrs. Neil Robinson Burch of Houston are pleased to announce the engagement of their daughter, Terrell Jean, to Clayton Allison son of Mr.
