Finleyville Girl's Biography In 'Who's Who Among Students' Jean Keally of Finleyville is one of ten outstanding Seton Hill College Students whose biographies will be included in the 1963-64 edition of "Who's Temperatures Drop; Snow Slicks Roads Wintry weather arrived in the Monongahela Valley, as well as all of Pennsylvania.

Friday when precipitation which started as rain turned to snow. causing highways to become slushy and then ice-slicked as temperatures dropped. A total of 1.50 inches of melted snow and rain was measured at Lock No. 4 from 1:40 a.m. Friday, when the rain started.

Sunday, low 19 at 8 a.m.. high 27 at 1:30 p.m. The low at the Gas Company building today was 24 at 4 a.m., with 32 registered at noon. Snow started falling again about 11 a.m. today and was still coming down steadily in small flakes at press time.

Waters of the Monongahela River, which had been rising. crested at 1 a.m. Sunday when 17.8 was recorded on the upper gauge and 15.9 on the lower at Lock 4. Readings there this morning showed 16.7 on the upper gauge and 14.6 on the lower. both falling.

Helen Sepe, Businesswoman, Dies In Pgh. Mrs. Helen Marie Brazen Sepe of 462 East Main Street, Monongahela, died in Mercy Hospital, Pittsburgh, Saturday, November 30, at 5:20 p.m. Death, at age 48, followed a lingering illness. Mrs.

Sepe was born at Bunola March 25. 1915. and had been a resident of Monongahela for 35 years. She was the former owner of Hickory Grill restaurant in Second Street. She was a member of St.

Anthony's Roman Catholic Church of Monongahela. Survivors include one son. Louis of Monongahela, with whom she lived: her step-father, Paul Duda of Ella Hollow: one grandson: five sisters, Mrs. Blanche Mouser. Mrs.

Agnes Pasterick and Mrs. Violet Shevchik, all of Donora. Miss Stella Duda of Ella Hollow, and Mrs. Ann Brenner of Elizabeth: three brothers, Henry Duda of Ella Hollow, Joe Duda of Gary, and George Duda of Donora. Friends are being received at the Nicholas V.

Campana Funeral Home. 216 Chess Street. Monongahela. Monongahela Man Is Found Dead In Room Andrew Kopy (Kopay), aged Monongahela resident who lived alone, was found dead in his room above the Carousel Lounge at 539 East Main Street. Sunday evening.

City police were called at 7:20 p.m. December 1 by Joe Hellen, proprietor of the Carousel. Mr. Kopy. a retired coal miner, was born in May.

SUSIE V. DOTY Mrs. Susie V. Doty, wife of Joseph Doty of Third Avenue. New Eagle, died Saturday.

No- vember 30, 1963. at 7:20 in Haven Crest Nursing Home. at the age of 72. Death followed a lingering illness. Mrs.

Doty was born at Shire Oaks May 13. 1891. and was a lifelong resident of New Eagle. Surviving with her husband are two daughters, Mrs. Mabel Baumgardner of New Eagle Mrs.

Jimmy Hatlo Dies; Noted Cartoonist CARMEL. Calif. -Cartoonist Jimmy Hatio, who rose from a printer's devil to creafor of the popular "Little todine" and "They'll Do It Every comic strips, died Sunday of a heart attack. He was Hatlo's full-time cartooning career started in 1925 in San Francisco by a stroke of chance that to was carry his work eventually into more than 700 newspapers around the world. Hatio leaves his wife, Lois.

Thomas has replaced J. W. Filson who was transferred East. Thomas is no stranger in this district having directed many assemblies in this vicinity. He was trans-, ferred to the state of Florida and now is back in this area.

He will be the principle speaker representing Jehovah's Witnesses headquarters in Brooklyn. New York. These assemblies have as an objective the aiding of others in knowing God's requirements for life. During the three days an extensive house to house visiting work will be conducted over a large area to invite the public at all sessions. Some 21 departments will operate under supervisors and aids to organize an orderly three- of ministerial activities.

Anthony V. Zukauckas, 1, died in the emergency Hospital at 1:45 p.m. Friday an hour earlier in a two-car 70-S. He suffered a crushed chest in the accident. State Police said the accident occurred about three miles west of Speers.

The Zukauckas car, driven by Ronald Zukauckas, 25, was traveling west, reportedly returning home from Charleroi. It was struck broadside by an auto driven by Janice K. McCleary, 16, of Charleroi RD 2, who was traveling east. The McCleary car slid on the slippery road and crossed the divider strip before striking the Zukauckas auto. The girl was driving on a learner's permit.

Three Boys Arrested For Robbery Try Donora police, with able assistance from Monongahela and New Eagle police, arrested three Monongahela youths Thursday at midnight on charges of burglary, attempted robbery, and assault and battery.

Two juveniles and William Namie, 21. of 106 Short Alley, were arrested by Donora police after an investigation into the attempted robbery and beating of Fred Hamilton, 61. co-owner of the Rambler Sales in Donora last Tues. day night. Hamilton, who lives in A trailer at the rear of the garage at 533 Meldon Avenue, told police two youths broke into his trailer and attempted to rob him.

The elderly man called for help after struggling with the boys, and two unidentified men from St. Mary's Club next door chased the youths, who fled a red car driven by the third youth. The unnamed vouths were turned over to juvenile authorities of Washington County while Namie was remanded to county jail at 6:30 p.m. Saturday for court action. The boys.

both under 18 years of age, were placed in custody of their parents and further action is to be taken today. All three were on probation from the Oakdale Reform School in Washington County, police said. Way Open For Bellmarette, Rostraver Merger A roadblock to the possible merger of the Rostraver and Bellmarette School Districts was removed last week when the Fayette County School Board released Bellmarette to the jurisdiction of the Westmoreland County School office, The action came on recommendation of County Superintendent Harry Riffle after Bellmarette directors made it clear they had desire to merge with Frazier Joint School District with which it was signed under the Fayette County School Board reorganzation plan.
