36 The Berkshire Eagle, Thursday, Sept. 30, 1982 Area sports Third annual Mitumn marathon scheduled tor Sunday in Sheffield vlv ATARI VIDEO GAME of 2:33:31. That time was one second off the course record set in the race's iaaugural year by Sean Kelly of Pittsfield. The 26-mile, 385-yard course begins and ends on the Berkshire School campus, with runners passing through the towns of both Sheffield and South Egremont. There is also a five-kilometer run on the Berkshire School cross-coun- RUNNING: The third annual Berkshire County Autumn Marathon js scheduled for Sunday beginning at 10 a.m.

at Berkshire School in Sheffield. The marathon is sponsored by the New England Pioneer Club and the Haupt Tree Company of Sheffield. The defending champion is Pedro Cobos of New Milford, who won the race last year with a time SYSTEM RESTAURANT nament at the GEAA. Walt Kubica also shot a 76 but finished second by a matching of cards, while Joe Supple was third with a 78. Bill O'Donnell took low net honors with a 66, while John Murphy placed second with a 69.

Jim Carlo and ann Marie Rhieu beat out the team, of Dick Beau-champ and Sandy Kubica in a sudden-death playoff to win the Berkshire Hills Scotch Foursome tournament Sunday. Wayne Barry and Nancy Barry were third with a 76. Margaret and Lyn Winslow took low net honors with a 55, while Sam and Carol Nykorchuck were second with a 60. GOLF LEAGUE: The team of Charlie Mole, John Clark, Duane Ross and Dom Strizzi posted the low net of 57 to win Tuesday's Dilly Boys' Golf League at Wahconah. Bus Genest had low gross of 84 and Hal Shook individual low net of 68.

The entry fee for the marathon is $6, while the fee for the five-kilometer run is $3. A field of 369 runners has already registered for the event, and a total field of some 500 runners is expected.

BOOSTER CLUBS: The Taconic High Football Boosters will meet tomorrow night at 6 at the THS cafeteria. Parents of all players are encouraged to attend. Taconic coach Buddy Pellerin will speak and plans for both the 1982 and 1983 seasons will be discussed. BRUINS BROADCASTS: Boston Bruins' NHL hockey will broadcast throughout the 1982-83 season by WUPE radio, the station has announced. The full schedule of 80 home games will be carried, with the first broadcast scheduled for a week from tonight when the Bruins meet Montreal at Boston Garden in their season opener.

Veteran sportscaster Bob Wilson will handle the play-by-play, with former Bruin star John Bucyk providing the color commentary.
