Buckholts (tommunify News r-'- By Mrs. Edwin Gandy The Senior Citizens of Buckholts are sponsoring a Talent Show for their center on Friday night, April 10th at the school gym Tickets will be sold at the door, adults $3.00 and students $1.50. Each one come and support our Senior Citizens. The Womans Missionary Society of the First Baptist Church had their week of prayer last week each day at the church for the Home Mission or Annie Armstrong Week of Prayer. We had good attendance each day and the spirit was felt by all.

Mr. and Mrs. Stanley Glaser and daughters and her mother, "Life is a jigsaw puzzle with most of the pieces missing." Anonymous Sharp-Tracey News Notes Mrs. Emma Fischer, left on Thursday to attend the Houston Livestock Show. Bobby Loftin was admitted to Kings Daughters Hospital in Temple on Thursday with a heart problem.

We are glad to report that Mrs. O. Whittington is able to be at home and able to walk around some after she had knee surgery a few weeks ago. Mrs. Brock Homrick was admitted to the St Edward Hospital in Cameron on Friday.

There are others in our community who are on the sick list but are able to be at their home. Little Patricia Hill has missed several weeks of school because of illness. She has pneumonia nnH back and forth to Kings Daughters Hospital in Temple each day for medical treatment. Mr. and Mrs.

John Semik of Camerop, visited last week with her brother and family, Mr. and Mrs Ladis Marek. Mr. and Mrs. Edwin Gandy visited Sunday afternoon with Bobby Loftin who is a patient in Kings Daughters Hospital.

They also visited with ImogeneEicken- horst while they were there. Miss Eickenhorst has been a patient for a long time but she seemed to be doing better and she was in very good spirit Mr. and Mrs. Ladis Marek and Billy and Jane Marek visited on Sunday with their son and family, Mr. and Mrs.

Everyone is invited to a bridal shower honoring Miss Debbie Stuckey on Tuesday March 17, at the Baptist Church Annex beginning at 7 p.m. Miss Stuckey, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Stuckey is the bride-electof Mr. Eddie Kifer, son of Mr.

and Mrs. Edmond Lee Kifer of Vann, Texas. Mr. and Mrs. Alfred Coats, Ray and Kevin were in Morton over the weekend where they visited with father, Mr.

Olan Coats and wife Bert. They, along with other family members went especially at this time to help Mr. Coats celebrate his birthday. The Garland Hux family, of Cameron, visited Sunday afternoon with Mr. and Mrs.

Cecil Butler. OBITUARIES Mitchell Services for Teo W. Mitchell, 64, of Cameron were at 3 p.m. Thursday in the Green Funeral Home Chapel in Cameron with the Rev. MackBrister officiating.

Burial was in Marlow Cemetery near Cameron. Mr. Mitchell died Tuesday afternoon in the Olin E. Teague Center in Temple, apparently of a heart attack. Mr.

Mitchell served in the U.S. Army for 24 years and later worked as a dental supervisor for the Texas Department of Corrections. A Milam County native, he had been a Cameron resident for the past three years. Survivors include his wife, Pat Mitchell of Cameron; a son, Mark Wayne Mitchell of Dallas; three brothers, Judge Mitchell of Lott, Jack Mitchell of Bryan, and George Wendell Mitchell of Vista, two sisters, Ollie Kennedy and Margaret Tindall, both of Bryan; and one grandchild. of Houston; daughters, Mrs.

Debra Nelson of Houston, Mrs. Jewell Richards of Gilmer, and Mrs. Bettie Minshew of Chilton; sisters, Mrs. Walter Roper of Grand Prairie and Mrs Wcdter Johnson of Lott; nine grandchildren and two great-grandchildren. Lantrip Talbott Services for Bessie Crawford, 73, of Humble and formerly of Cameron, were at 2 p.m.

Monday at Green Funeral Home in Cameron with the Rev. Mack Brister officiating. Burial was in Oak Hill Cemetery in Cameron. Mrs. Crawford died Friday night in an Humble hospital after a lengthy illness.

She had lived in Houston for the past 33 years. She was a member of the Veterans of Foreign Wars Auxiliary Post No. 9187 in Houston. Survivors are two sons, Claude Brown of Houston, and Michael Crawford of Dallas; a daughter, Norma Jean Word of Houston; a sister, Jewell Snyder of San Antonio; seven grandchildren; and 11 great-grandchildren. B. Cunningham, 68 of ChilKMi, who died Saturday in a Marlin hospital apparently after a heart attack, were at 2 p.m. Sunday in Hoelscher Funeral Home in Minister James Haney officiated. Burial was in Clover Hill Cemetery in Lott. Mr.

Cunningham was a Bell County native and had lived in Houston for 31 years before moving to Chilton two years ago. He was a member of the Lott Masonic Lodge and the Church of Christ. Survivors include his widow, Mrs. Jewell Cunningham of Chilton; son, Dr. B.

E. Cunningham Graveside services for Kathryn Turney Lantrip, 89, of Lake Charles, formerly of Cameron, were at 2 p.m. Sunday at Liberty Cemetery with the Rev. Mack Brister officiating. Mrs.

Lantrip died Thursday in a Lake Charles nursing home. She was born in Cameron. Survivors are two sons, William W. Lantrip of Lake Charles and Bob Turney Lantrip of Houston; three daughters, Dorothy Miller of Lake Charles, Joy Plentl of Killeen, Kathryn Burke of Tulsa, OK; 18 grandchildren; and 23 great-grandchildren. Marek-Bums-Laywell Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.

Blackburn ROCKDALE Thomas Blackburn, 53, of Milano, died early 'niursday morning in Milano. Justice of Peace Jim Swansy of Milano ruled cause of death due to self-inflicted gunshot wound." Services for Mr. Blackburn will be at 2 p.m. Saturday in Phillips Luckey Funeral Home in Rockdale with the Rev. James Mantooth officiating.

Burial will be in I.O.O.F. Cemetery in Rockdale. Mr. Blackburn was a rancher and a long-time resident of Milam County. Survivors include his widow, Mrs.

Thomas Biackbura of Milano; a daughter, Patricia Blackburn of Fort Worth; a brother, Kelley Blackburn of Rockdale; and his parents, Mr. and Mrs. Qiff Blackburn of Rockdale. Ely Funeral services for Mary Inez Ely, 60, of Hearne, were held Monday at 10 a.m. in Heartsfield Funeral Home of Hearne.

Burial was in Suggs Cemetery near Hearne. Mrs. Ely passed away Saturday afternoon in a Waco hospital following a lengthy illness. Survivors include 2 brothers, L. O- 'Threadgill of Hearne and Ben Threadgill of Ciuneron; and four sisters, Mrs.

Ruby Mayo of Elmer, Kingsley of Hearne, Mrs. Cecil Roe of Lovelady, and Mrs. J. W. Hodge Jr.

of Hearne..
