Dress who will retire June 1, after 42 years with the company Claydon, 43, Joined Texasgulf, who operstes a plant on the Trinity River south of liberty, In 1963 as an office boy He has had successive assignments in the corporate traffic and market reeearch department, and has held various positions in the sulphur ssles department. In 1169, Claydon became sulphur sales manager and was transferred from the corporate office to the company's sulphur operations in Houston.

In 1976, Claydon was sppointed general manager of sulphur operations, which Includes facilities in the United States, Canada and Mexico. He will continue to be based in Houston A native of Mount Vernon, Y. is a 1961 graduate of Fordham University with a degree in economics. He served in the U.S. Army from 1956 to 1956, attaining the rank of sergeant.

Claydon is on the bosrd of directors of Cla. Explora- dora del Istmo.S.A., a Texasgulf affiliate, snd is member of the bosrd of the Texas Research league. He and his wile, Carolyn, reside In Richmond, Texas with their five children.
