Fagan gave a humorous monologue on The Swedish Night Before Christmas. A door prize made by Mrs. Raymond Carpenter was won by Mrs. Calvin Atwater. Refreshments were served by Mrs.

Officers were elected at the December meeting of the Stephentown Volunteer Fire Department, with President Paul Sykes, presiding. -Elected were Michael Ward, chief; Carl Jensen, president; William Hicks, vice president; Sykes, secretary; Gus Johnson, treasurer; Louis Sharpe, financial secretary; Charles Hoffman, director for five years; Sylvester Close, assistant chief; and John Esposito, captain. Rikkle McClave was appointed assistant secretary. Fire Chief Ward presented his 1966 fire service report and thanked the men for their support. He reported no alarms last month.

The committee chairmen reported improvements were completed and that the garage-addition loan was paid off. There were 183 days use of the hall. Retiring president Sykes reported the active membership at 104, the highest in the history of the deparmtent. At the close of the meeting, refreshments were served and a movie on New York State fisheries was shown, Nursery school wil resume classes Tuesday at 9:30 at the Stephentown Fire Hall after the holiday recess. Anyone interested in enrolling children may do so at this time.
