Mason, 71, of 16 Crystal St, Lenox Dale, died Tuesday at Berkshire Medical Center shortly after being admitted. She had suffered an apparent heart attack at home. She was born in Albany, Vt, on Nov. 4, 1920, daughter of Archie and Laura Goad Stone. She was educated in schools in Vermont and made her home there until moving to Lee in 1960 and to Lenox Dale in 1967.

Mrs. Mason had worked for a number of years as a nurse's aide at Edgecombe Nursing Home in Lenox. Her husband, Albert M. Mason whom she married June 11, 1949, died in 1989. She leaves a son, Harry L.

Burnham of Albany, Vt; two daughters, Mrs. Gail L. Rhodes and Mrs. Carol A. Carey, both of Lenox Dale; a brother, Gerald Stone of Mount Vernon, N.H.; a sister, Mrs.

Francese Hilliker of Albany, Vt, and 11 grandchildren. The funeral will be conducted tomorrow at 10 at Kelly Funeral Home by the Rev. Stanley Wooley vicar of St. Helena's Chapel in Lenox. Burial will be in Mountain View Cemetery, Lenox.

Calling hours at the funeral home will be tonight from 7 to 9. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the Lee Visiting Nurse Association through the funeral home. Sister Mary Leonarda PITTSFIELD Sister Mary Leonarda, 94, formerly known as Catherine Lee, died Monday at Mont Marie Health Care Center, Holyoke. She formerly taught at the St. Joseph's high schools in North Adams and Pittsfield.

She was born May 15, 1897, in North Wilbraham, daughter of William and Mary Hammond Lee. She graduated from Cathedral High School, Springfield and earned her bachelor degree rom Elms College. Sister Leonarda entered the Sisters of St Joseph from SL Matthew's parish in Indian Orchard on July 16, 1921, and was in her 71st year of religious service. In addition to her Berkshire County teaching assignments were Blessed Sacrament and Sacred Heart schools in Holyoke, St. Joseph's School in Cherry Valley, SL Ann's School in Worcester, St.

Mary's School in Northampton, and St. Mary's School in West-field. She retired to Mont Marie in Holyoke in 1972. She leaves a brother, Sheridan Lee. A Liturgy of Christian Burial will be celebrated tomorrow at 10 at Mont Marie Chapel, Holyoke.

Calling hours will be today from 2 to 4 and 7 to 8:30 at Mont Marie. Memorial donations may be made to Sisters of St. Joseph, Mont Marie, Holyoke, MA 01040. The Sampson Funeral Home, Springfield, is in charge of arrangements. Dorothy H.

Williams DALTON Mrs, Dorothy Helen Williams, 79, formerly of Pittsfield, died Tuesday at Dalton Nursing Home where she resided for the past three years. She was born Sept. 1, 1912 in Boston, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Nicholas Hoskeer.

She lived in Pittsfield since age 6 and attended local schools. Mrs. Williams was a former member of the Garden Club and the Pittsfield Senior Center. Her husband, Clayton F. Williams, died May 15, 1974.

She leaves a son, Clayton Williams of Monroe, N.Y.; a sister, Mrs. Ruth Pemble of Pittsfield, and a grandson. The funeral will be tomorrow at I at Dery Funeral Home. Burial will be at the convenience of the family. Calling hours at the funeral home will be tomorrow from noon to 1 prior to the funeral.

Philip W. Knowlton PITTSFIELD Philip Wayne Knowlton, 72, of 715 West Hous-atonic St. died Tuesday at Hill-crest Hospital. Born on Nov. 4, 1919, in Salem, son of Lawrence and Velma Turner Knowlton, he attended schools in Salem and Peabody.

He had resided in Pittsfield for the past 50 years. Mr. Knowlton was the owner and propietor of Knowlton Sign Co. on West Housatonic Street for 26 years and was still working at the time of his death. He was a member of the Im-manuel Community Church.

He enjoyed skating, running, biking and roller-blading. He leaves his wife, the former Hazel E. Blake, whom he married Aug. 27, 1956; a brother, Robert Knowlton of Pittsfield, and a granddaughter. The funeral will be tomorrow at II at Dery Funeral Home with the Rev.

Irene Jones, pastor of Immanuel Community Church, officiating. Burial will be in Pittsfield Cemetery. Calling hours at the funeral home will be today from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to charity of the donor's choice through the funeral home. Frederick W.

Zieba NORTH ADAMS Frederick Walter Zieba, 62, of 66 Chenaillo Terrace died yesterday at North Adams Regional Hospital, where he had been admitted Monday. He was born in Adams on Feb. 17, 1929, son of Mary Bulsa Zieba and the late Walter Zieba. He attended Adams schools and was a 1946 graduate of the former Adams Memorial High School. Following high school, he, served with Company Massachusetts National Guard, in Adams.

He was employed at GE for 30 years, retiring as drafting manager in the power transformer department in 1980 due to ill health. He was a communicant of Holy Family Church, member of the GE Quarter Century Club. He formerly was an avid golfer and member of the Forest Park Country Club, Adams. He and his wife, the former Janice A. Bohl, celebrated their 21st wedding anniversary Sept.

5. Besides his mother of Adams and his wife of North Adams, he leaves two sons, Richard Zieba of Pompano Beach, and Gordon Zieba of Raleigh, N.C.; five daughters, Mrs. Christine Keswick of San Diego, Mrs. Catherine Ball of Tuolumne, Ms. Kathy Flanagan and Mrs.

Cheryl LaDouceur, both of Williamstown, and Ms. Jane Sprague of North Adams, and 10 grandchildren. The funeral will be Saturday at 10 from Auge-San Soucie-Simmons Funeral Home with a Liturgy of Christian Burial celebrated at 10:45 in Holy Family Church. Burial will be in South-view Cemetery. Calling hours at the funeral home will be tomorrow from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9.

Memorial donations may be made to the Holy Family Church Scholarship Fund through the funeral home. Lula P. Beilke NORTH ADAMS Mrs. Lula Pauline Beilke, of 25 Windom Terrace died yesterday at home. She was born in North Adams, daughter of Charles and Carrie Webster Moran and was a 1930 graduate of Drury High School.

Mrs. Beilke "was a professional dancer and during the early 1930s, she established the Moran Dance Studio in North Adams and following her marriage, continued the dance instruction and recital programs as the Beilke Dance Studio. She operated the studio for more than 30 years until she closed it in 1964. She was a lifelong resident of North Adams and a communicant of St Francis of Assisi Church and a former member of its rosary society. Her husband, Charles Albert Beilke whom she married Aug.

17, 1936, died May 15, 1971. She leaves a daughter, Mrs. Juanita D'Alessandro of North Adams; a son, Charles A Beilke Jr. of Beverly; two sisters, Mrs. Geraldine Mac Alpine of Newport Beach, and Mrs.

Marvel Coloman of Chicopee Falls, and four grandchildren. The funeral will be Saturday at 9:45 from Flynn Dagnoli-Montagna Funeral Home, Marshall Street, with a Liturgy of Christian Burial celebrated at 10:30 at St. Francis of Assisi Church. Burial will be in South-view Cemetery. Calling hours at the funeral home will be tomorrow evening from 7 to 9.

We're two steps away at the Berkshire Mall take care of your Eagle business at the Eagle Mall Office. Gordon Noble dies at age 68 NOBLE, from Bl Northern France, Central Europe and the Rhineland. He was discharged Oct. 7, 1945.

On his return to Williamstown, he was employed at the Gevaert Co. until he went into business in 1946 with his father, opening Grundy's Garage, which they ran until 1974. He was a member of the Gale Hose Co. from 1946 until the time of his death. He was elected foreman in 1951, a position he held until 1981, when he was elected chief for six consecutive years, retiring in September 1986.

A 46-year member of the Richard A. Ruether Post 152 American Legion, he was also a corporator of the Williamstown Savings Bank. He was also a member of the Williamstown Board of Trade. In 1969, he was selected for honorable mention to the Williamstown High School All Time All Star Football Team for his play at the tackle position from 1938 to 1940. He and his wife, the former Norma Rose Pedercini, celebrated their 45th wedding anniversary Aug.

31. Besides his wife, he leaves a daughter, Mrs. Gail Ann Thompson of Thornton, two sons, Donald G. Noble of Bennington, Vt, and Gordon A Noble of Williamstown; a brother, Raymond A. Noble of Appomattox, and a grandson.

The funeral will be Saturday at 11 at Sherman Burbank Memorial Chapel. Burial will be in East-lawn Cemetery. Calling hours at Hopkins Funeral Home will be tomorrow evening from 6 to 9 with an American Legion Service at 7 and a Gale Hose Company service at 8. Memorial donations may be made to the Alzheimer's Disease Association or the Gale Hose Company through the funeral home. Michael Homich STOCKBRIDGE Michael Homich, 78, of Old Stockbridge Road died Monday at Soldiers Home in Holyoke.

He was born in Pittsfield on March 24, 1913, son of Stephen and Pauline Brushkavich Homich. He attended schools in Richmond and Pittsfield. A veteran of World War II, he served with the 8th Army Air Force as a tailgunner in the European and African theaters. Mr. Homich retired in 1975 from the GE power transformer division after more than 35 years of service.

He was a member of the Quarter Century club and a member of theVFW in Pittsfield. His wife, the former Edna Britigan, died March 23, 1985. He leaves two daughters, Mrs. Linda J. McDarby of Lenox and Mrs.

Carol A. Hedding of Pittsfield; three sons, Edward M. Homich of Stockbridge, Richard D. Homich of Sacramento, and David A. Homich of Portsmouth, N.H.; two sisters, Miss O.

Jean Homich of New York City, N.Y., and Mrs. Nina Kazura of Pittsfield; two brothers, John Homich of New Lebanon, N.Y., and Joseph Homich of Tarpon Springs, eight grandchildren, and four great-grandchildren. The funeral will be Saturday at 10 at Finnerty Stevens Funefal Home with the Rev. John T. Smegal, pastor of St.

Joseph's Church, officiating. Burial will be in Stockbridge Cemetery. Calling hours at the funeral home will be tomorrow from 4 to 7. Memorial donations may be made to the Soldiers Home through the funeral home. E.

'Archie' Pietrzyk ADAMS Eustace Francis "Archie" Pietrzyk, 75, of 5 North St. died Tuesday at North Adams Regional Hospital. He was born in Adams on Sept. 7, 1916, son of Anthony and Blanche Janik Pietrzyk, and attended Adams schools. Mr.

Pietrzyk worked as a buyer and supervisor in the produce department at the former Adams Super Market now Big Foods, for 47 years before retiring in April 1983. He had worked previously at the former First National Stores. He was a communicant of St Stanislaus Kostka Church and a member of the St. Stanislaus Kostka Society. He was well-known in the farming community for his shrewd and learned approach to produce buying, as well as his sense of humor and storytelling ability.

He and his wife, the former Josephine K. Twarog, would have celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary Feb. 16, 1992. Besides his wife, he leaves a daughter, Mrs. Eileen Whitney of Cheshire; three sisters, Mrs.

Catherine lvfaznicki of Cheshire, Mrs. Molly Spadea of Oakland, Calif, and Mrs. Julia Kenner of Emeryville, and four grandchildren. The funeral will be Saturday at 8:15 from Auge-Paciorek-Simmons Funeral Home with a Liturgy of Christian Burial celebrated at 9 at St Stanislaus Kostka Church. Burial will be in St Stanislaus Kostka Cemetery.

Morin NORTH ADAMS Mrs. Stefanie Biskup Morin, 75, of 199 State St died Tuesday at North Adams Regional Hospital, where she was admitted on Oct.

25. She was born in Adams on Dec. 2, 1916, daughter of Marion and Josephine Noga Biskup, and attended Adams schools, including the St. Stanislaus Kostka Parochial School and the former Adams Memorial High School. Mrs.

Morin had been a resident of North Adams for the past 56 years and was a communicant of St. Francis of Assisi Church. Her husband, Joseph "Gus" Morin, whom she married Jan. 12, 1935, died April 25. She leaves two sons, William J.

Morin of North Adams and Kenneth P. Morin of Cheshire; a stepson, Paul Morin of Mississippi; a sister, Mrs. Isabelle Unis of North Adams; two brothers, Chester Biskup of Adams and Walter Bishop of North Adams; seven grandchildren, and six great-grandchildren. The funeral will be tomorrow at 10:15 from Flynn and Dagnoli-Montagna Funeral Home, West Main Street, with a Liturgy of Christian Burial celebrated at 11 at St Francis of Assisi Church. Burial will be in Southview Cemetery.
