1 Evelyn Nesbit Thaw Called but Did Not Testify Counsel Changes Plans Defense Continues to Build Up Its Ever Tightening Net of Irrationality. I 1 (By the AitnHated Trent.) The defense at the Thaw trial continued today to build up its ever tightening net irrationability around the man accused of the murder of Stanford White. Two Important witnesses at the, morning Eessin were Miss Alice C. Fletcher of the archaeological bureau of the (Smithsonian institution at Washington, a long time friend of the Thaw's and a frequent visitor at their home; and Miss Catherine O'Neill, who nnrsed Thaw during tlx years of his childhood.
