Churches Society EDITORS LEONORA CARCELLA-258-7000 VIRGINIA COATSWORTH-379-6500 Mrs. Clyde Willebrand New President Of Donora Forecast Club For 1966-67 Donora Forecast Club elected new officiers when it met Monday evening in the Donora Community Center. Plans also were made for the Fourteenth Anniversary Banquet, closing event of the club year, which will be held Monday, May 9, in the Donora Elks Club.

Mrs. Clyde Willebrand was elected president; Mary Jane Rabe, vice president; Mrs. Russell Perney, recording secretary; Mrs. Walter Debowski, corresponding secretary; and Lillian Bier, treasurer for the coming year. These officers will be installed at the closing banquet, which will begin at 7 p.m.

May 9. Mrs. James Morton is general chairman, and is being aided by Mrs. K. W.

Schempp, Jr. on reservations; Mrs. Alden F. Miller, Jr. on installation and gift presentation; Mrs.

Walter Debowski and Mrs. James A. Rabe, on prizes and Irene Louise Hilaire, program arrangements. The club voted to donate $200 to Donora Public Library as its civic project for the year, and $15 toward the Camp Fire Girls' camp development fund. Miss Bier gave a report on the Camp Fire Girls' sponsorship project, and the camp development fund was explained by Mrs.

Schempp. come. A nominal fee will be charged. The Ladies Social Unit of the American Russian Citizen's Club of Monongahela will sponsor a Penny Social on Sunday, April 17, at 7:30 p.m. Refreshments will be served and the public is invited.

Miss Mary Catherine O'Brien, associate professor at California State College in the Education Department, will speak at the Adult Education Class in St. Anthony's School tonight at 7:30. She is a certified public school Child Psycologist and will speak on the topic entitled "'The Children of Intermediate School years and Pre-adolescence." This is Miss O'Brien's second lecture for the series of classes. Everyone is welcome to attend. Demo.

Delegates To Annual Convention Are Chosen At Meet; Candidates Speak Members of the Women's member, Frances Weygandt, Democratic Club of Monongahela selected delegates who will represent the local club at the annual convention and heard brief talks by candidates in the coming primary election at the regular meeting held at the Legion Hall. The session, presided over by President Mary Patterson, opened with members rising and reciting the pledge of allegiance. Chaplain Norma Jean Walters read from John and led members in reciting the Lord's Prayer. Routine reports were read and approved. Armida Cooper, chairman of the Sick Committee, reported Josephine Wallace now home from the hospital and Maude Blythe about the same.

She also reported that the father-in law of a member, Ann Eusepi, and the sister-in-law of another Legionnaires To Honor National Commander Members of the American Legion and the Auxiliary Units will have a testimonial dinner at Webster Hall in Pittsburgh on Friday, April 29, at 6:30 p. m. The guest of honor will be L. Eldon James, national commander of the consists American of 16,000 Legion, which American Legion Posts through out the world, with a membership of 2.650,000 veterans of World War World War II and the Korean conflict. Commander James, a native of the state of Virginia, served as a Lieutenant in the Naval Reserve during World War II, is a graduate of William and Mary College, active as a trial lawyer, and is now serving his fifth year on the Virginia Bar Council.

He is maried to the former Aurelia Quinby Mitchell of Morristown, N. J. and Falls Church, Va. They have four children and one grandchild. Among the Legion notables who will be in attendance at the Webster Hall dinner will be: Harry V.

Klein, Legion Commander, Department of Pennsylvania; Daniel A. Drew, National Executive Committeeman; John C. Mann, Western District Vice Commander; Edward T. Hoak, Department Adjutant; Henry R. Woods, Commander of the Allegheny County American Legion, and Regis Cusick, Past Department Commander.

Licensed Practical Nurses Install New Officers Tri-County Division of Licensed Practical 1 Nurses Association of Pennsylvania held its dinner meeting in the Charleroi Elks Club on Thursday evening, April 7.

Dinner was served at six o'- clock and the decorated tables held a centerpiece of vari-col-burgh ored grapes overflowing from a tall cut glass compote surrounded by grape leaves and trailing vines. This was flanked by candelabra holding yellow tapers. Favors were waxed catthedral windows, in miniature, picturing the Easte reross, angel and lamb. A small yellow candle glowed in the back. and Mrs. Andrew Tokay, 153 Thompson Avenue, was initiated into Delta Chi Delta Fraternity on March 18, at the University of Dayton in Dayton, Ohio. Adrian was graduated from Mon Valley Catholic High School in 1964 and is currently majoring in Public Relations and Personnel Management at the university. Trailblazers of the First Methodist church will meet this evening at 8 p.m in the church for its regular monthly meeting. Members are planning to make homemade Easter bonnets and will also model them.

Gus DeFelicis, 520 Fifth Street, has returned to his home to convalesce after being a patient in the Mercy Hospital, Pittsburgh. Mr. DeFelicis will not be able to return to his duties in the high school for some time. Court Donora, Catholic Daughters of America, will meet on Monday, April 18, at 8 p.m. with the Grand Regent, Margaret Kepic presiding.

A new slate of officers will be presented by Mrs. Iaquinta and members will bring either handmade articles, home canned foods or home made food to the meeting to be auctioned off at a Country Store Auction. Hostesses will be Mrs. John Sabo, chairman, and Mrs. Hugo Sabitini, co-chairman.

The aides will be Mrs. Lawrence Ruscitti, Mrs. Giodaso Sala, Mrs. Ernest Salvino, Mrs. Philip Sarkus, Mrs.

John J. Sawa, Mrs. R. R. Schwerha, Mrs.

Alex Senko and Mrs. George L. Shark. Installation of Clan Grant officers will take place on Friday, April 15, at 8 p.m. in the Donora Community Center.

Installation will be made by Meetings in the coming year will be held regularly on the second Monday of each month, as they have been in the past year. Mary's 'R' Club Plans Social Senior Club members of St. Mary's Eastern Orthodox Church, High Street, Monongahela, at a recent meeting undertook the task of formulating plans for a fund raising project. The proceeds of the project will be used towards the parking lot, which is presently in the process of being completed. A social will be held Wednesday, April 20, at 7 p.m. at the church hall.

Also planned was a Mother's Day dinner to be held on Mother's Day. The Reverend Nicholas Fedorchak, pastor of the was presented with a check for $300, which represents the balance of the $2,500 given by the club for the purchase of Icons. J. Murphy, Legislature candidate, and John Nicolella and William B. Stout, State Senate Committee candidates. A letter sent from Senator William J. Lane, State Senate candidate, was read by President Mrs.

Patterson. The president then introduced the guests present who were: Mrs. Mona Murphy, Mrs. Ellanora Warren, president of the Jeffersonian Club, Abe Faiella, and David B. Moses.

Members recited the Club Motto at the conclusion of of the meeting. The door prize was won by one of the guests, Mrs. Warren. Tasty refreshments were served by Chairman Antoinette Roule and her aides, Mary Theresa Roule, Milne Henson, Laverne Calderone and Catherine Mitchell. Many other favors marked each place and were donated by the Donora Central Pharmacy, PittsNational Bank of Donora, Bell Telephone Company and the Seventh Day Adventist church members donated booklets "Kindle Kindness." New Officers Installed President Miss Genevieve Williams pinned each guest with a pink rose bud corsage as each guest entered the dining room. After a delicious dinner, Miss Williams introduced the installling officer, Mrs. Eunice M. Kissinger. Each new officer was presented by Mrs.

Elizabeth Anthony. New officers are Miss Edith Genevieve Williams; president; Mrs. Adelaide Wiita, first vice president; Mrs. Minnie Charlton, second vice president; Mrs. Catherine Ostrander, treasurer; Mrs.

Eunice M. Kissinger, secretary; and Mrs. Minnie Charlton, chaplain. All are licensed practical nurses. New directors are Mrs.

Catherine Ostrander, Mrs. Catherine Glaros, Mrs. Minnie Charlton, Mrs. Jean Clingenpeel, Mrs. Mae Wilson and Mrs.

Eunice M. Kissinger, executive director. President Williams opened the meeting, with prayer being given by the chaplain, Mrs. Minnie Charlton. The nurses pledge was repeated by all present.

Mrs. Kissinger announced that the 1966 convention would be held May 24-26, in the Benjamin Franklin Hotel, Philadelphia. Miss Williams will attend as the delegate and Mrs. Ostrander will be the alternate. It was announced that those desiring membership should ask for an application blank from the treasurer.

The Executive Board will screen membership applications. There is an assessment fee of $7.00 due upon joining; dues are due in June of each year and are $16.0. Next meeting of the group will be reld on May 5, in the home of Mrs. Minnie Charlton, 717 Lincoln Avenue, Lock 4, Charleroi, at 6:30 p.m. President Williams thanked all for making her year a year to remember.

All were presented with a gift of appreciationa lovely two-stranded pearl necklace. Games were played and first prize was won by Genevieve Williams; second prize went to Mrs. Lillian McNab; third prize was won by Catherine Ostrander; and fourth prize was won by Elizabeth Anthony; the bean bag was won by Genevieve Williams. Robert Brake is the former Joan Appolonia. The regular meeting of the Dorcas Class of the First Methodist Church of Monongahela will be held Friday evening, April 15, at 8 o'clock in the church. Serving on the Social Committee are: Mrs. Lela Neel, Mrs. Rose Ewing and Mrs.

Rita Johnson. Mrs. Patsy Quattrone of Gallatin is a patient in the Mercy Hospital, Pittsburgh, room 443. Sam, Tony, and Paul Inserra, all residents of Monongahela, have returned from Rochester, N. where they attended the funeral on Monday, April 11, of their sister Rosalie Inserra Valenti.

She is survived by her husband, Joseph, twelve children, two sisters and four brothers. Also in attendance from Monongahela were Mrs. Anthony Nuzzaci and Eugene Inserra, niece and nephew of the deceased. The Buds of Promise Class of Riverview Baptist Church will meet at 7:30 tonight in the church. Mrs.

John Anderson, president, urges a good attendance. The April meeting for Western Division, Pennsylvania Assocaition of Moose, District No. 10, will be held in California, Sunday, April 17. Officers will meet at 2:30 p.m. and the regular session will follow.

Lodges are requested to urge delegates to attend the meeting as individual lodge representation is needed to carry on District business. Members of the Monongahela High School Class of 1936 are urged to attend a meeting Monday evening, April 18, at 8 o'- clock in the Monongahela Elks Club which is being held for the purpose of organizing a late summer class reunion. A record hop and card party, sponsored by the Ginger Hill Grange, will 1 be held Saturday, April 16, at 8 p.m. Refreshments will be available. Chairman is Mr.
