The report, compiled monthly tracks radio stations performance for the time between the quarterly Arbitron ratings reports.

Accord lng to Phillips, for the first phase of the fall periods, Magic 93 commanded its highest share ever at 10.0. He attributed Magics success to putting more up-tempo, brighter songs into the rotation as well as high participation in certain listener promotions. Michael Neff, PD for Oldies 92 and 106 FM, said the station, on As The Buzz (102.3 and 103.1 FM) continues to spread Christmas cheer throughout Northeast Pennsylvania 24 hours a day, seven days a week, some of the other stations are getting in the holiday spirit. Radio listeners, sitting down to their Thanksgiving Day feast had an extra treat in store for them when they tuned into Magic 93 (92.9 FM). The station heralded the holiday season by playing Christmas songs all day long on Thanksgiving and continued through the weekend until 1 am.

"We had a really good response to the holiday songs, Phillips explained. "Our listeners are really looking forward to the holidays, so we want to do what our listeners want." It is also a way for Magic 93 to return to its "family values," he said, noting the times were specifically selected to target families in their together time as well as holiday shoppers.
