YEAGLE Bristol Our Solar System consists of nine planets and thirty one moons. The planets are: the Sun, Mercury. Venus. Mars, Jupiter, Saturn, Uranus, Neptune and Pluto. Pluto is the smallest of the nine planets and Jupiter is the largest.

Our Sun is an average size star with fiery gases that stretch millions of miles intx) space. We know little about the Sun or any of the other nine planets. We know there are nine planets, but scientists believe there may be more. The telescope was discovered in 1609 by Galileo Galilei. In 1930, Pluto was discovered.

At the present time, we do not have a tele- strong enough to see past Pluto.
