McCracken. H. J. Gilson, of Pittsburgh, was for William C. Muse, former commissioner of Westmoreland county, who died last Tuesday at the home of his daughter in Chattanooga, Tennessee.

Muse was 71) years of age and had been ill several weeks. Muse, a native of Huntingdon Township, in 1913, was appointed to fill an unexpired term on the board of county commissioners and served in that capacity for three years. He was then appointed county road engineer and held that position for five years.
