The bill of Jones Co. to ahnnt $1,000, and was for sawing the mate rial which was put into the hull of the Mayflower. Notwithstanding the attachment. McFall launched the boat fnd Capt. In this, however, they were nut successful, as the boats then in port refused to take hold of her. Later the same day Sheriff Gray, of Allegheny county, made a levy on the Mayflower on an execution of Reese against Clark, which was for machin ery furnished by Reese for the boat. Beer Club Caught. There was considerable excitement at Wood's Run last night, over the subpoenaing of 27 persons for witnesses in the case of J. Louter, a German President of the Lucyville Beer Club, who has been selling to outsiders and to children. These "beer clubs" should be beaten over the head by the "law club" till they die the death. MissPaulihe Scott, formerly of this city, is now travelling as a dance girl, with the Adamless Eve Company. Isaac C. Ailes had a flock of 135 sheep washed at the Coal Centre wharf, May 7th. Alderman Radclifl'e sold two horses to Rea Lazure of Pittsburg; sent overland this noon. Dr.

McGlynn at Old City Hall, Pittsburg May 12, will licture on his proposition to tax land exclusively. Miss Ella Jones, of Bellyernon, has returned from a four months trip through the southern states, Edward Mansfield has accepted a situation as clerk with the Youghiogheiiy Coal Company store at Courtney. The Mingo Presbyterian people seem to be divided in opinion in calling a preacher; some want an old man, some a young one, for pastor. Herman L. Beaver of Coal Centre Is running the Stronse jewelry store, while the "old man" is attending the picnic at Washington.

Tha new senate apportionment puts Beaver and Washington together, which some of our local politicians think would be, married but not mated. In honor of Decoration day, Prof. Broad-berry will introduce the grand song and chorus, "Where are the boys of the old Brigade," between Acts 1 and II In the May iueeu. 11.
