Wm. Carter, the scientific banjo player, and careful teamster, has been complimented three times this winter with a turkey, which was sent to him by parties unknown.

Yesterday it came again, but Carter dropped on to the giver this time, and is much obliged. Local Assembly K. of 4152. is exceedingly profuse with good words for W. A.

Patterson the undertaker, for the very generous manner in which he attended to the funeral of Bro. J. Curdie. Win. McGregor has likewise merited much gratitude by his great kindness in donating clothing to the fatherless children which enabled them to attend the funeral.

Filson went to Pittsburg and the license was obtained without further delay. Mr. Burkett is connected with the Pennsylvania Railroad.
