MICHAEL MATIRKO Michael Matirko. 82, of 10007 Lafayette, passed away suddenly at his home Saturday night, May 2, 1953 following a heart attack He was born in Unternetzensei- fen Hungary September 22, 1870 and came to tills country more than 70 years ago, residing in this community most of the time. He was employed as a brass moulder by the Pullman Company until taking leave of his work about 1927 following 31 years of sen-ice He had been emloyed for about 12 yaars by tht General Electric Company, retiring about 12 years ago.

Mr. Matirko was a member of Palace Lodge No. 765, A F. A lor over 50 years, and was a member of the Pullman Twenty Year Service Club. He was the husband of Pauline, nee Sperling; father of Chester A Matirko, and Miss Elsie Matirko, and brother of the late Julia Tomasch.

During his young career he has garnered many awards including medals, an automobile and concert appearances.

At the age of 7 he played for the Chicago Music Festival luncheon Normal Young People The Gleemen commend these young artists not only because they are good i i a but also because they are attractive, normal, fun loving people who Cake life as it comes but see to it that they concentrate on as n.uch of the pood things of life as possible.
