Cox, Dorothy A. West West Terrace Cherrybon, Catherine Catherine E. "Dolly" Cherrybon, 87, of West West Terrace, passed away Sunday at her residence. Born in Llewellyn, April 22, 1927, she was a daughter of the late John and Susan Clauser Breslin. She was the widow of Paul Cherrybon, who passed away July 6, 1999.

She was a member of St. Patrick Roman Catholic Church, Pottsville. A graduate of Tremont High School, she was employed by the former Good Samaritan Hospital as an LPN in the maternity ward. Following her retirement, she worked in personal care in the Pottsville area. She was cared for by her friend, Theresa Hossler, and the sons of Joseph, her former companion, Joseph Post Jr.

and Jerry Post. She enjoyed luncheons with her former coworkers and dinner at Palermo's and Grandma's restaurants. Most recently, she enjoyed a day with her family and their friends at the wedding of her granddaughter, Lora, on Dec. 13. Christopher L.

Cherrybon, Pottsville; a daughter-in-law, Debbie McSurdy Cherrybon, wife of the late Barry Cherrybon; grandchildren, John Cherrybon, James and his wife, Alicia Cherrybon, Lora Cherrybon Greco, wife of Matthew, and Leeza Cherrybon and fiance, Erik Bartol; and four great-grandchildren, Christian, Joseph, Jacob and Mia. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 11 a.m. Friday at St. Patrick Church, Pottsville, with Monsignor Edward O'Connor officiating. Friends are respectfully invited to attend a visitation from 9:30 to 11 a.m.

Friday at the church. Interment will be held in Ss. Peter Paul Byzantine Catholic Cemetery, Branch Township. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donation made to St. Patrick Church, 319 Mahantongo Pottsville, PA 17901.

"DOLLY" CHERRYBON In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Paul; son, Thomas Barry in 1992; companion, Joseph Post sister, Anna Breslin Graver; and nine brothers, Charles, Clouser "Duke," James, Lawrence, Phillip, Neal, Richard, Vincent and Wayne Breslin. Dolly is survived by three sons, John, husband of Susan Cherrybon, Summer-land Key, Paul R.

"Pete" Cherrybon, Lebanon, and Victoria Kotz Mackin, McAdoo, passed away at her residence Sunday evening. Born July 28, 1924, she was a daughter of the late George and Blanche Tocylowski Kotz. Preceding her in death, in addition to her parents, was her husband, James Mackin, June 8, 2003; and brothers, Stephen, Alexander and Alfred Kotz. She was the last surviving member of her family She was a graduate of McAdoo High School and also attended Penn State University Vicki was a member of the Church of All Saints and the former St. Patrick Roman Catholic Church, McAdoo, where she taught first-grade religion for seven years and was a former choir member, as well as a member of the Altar and Rosary Society Vicki was affiliated with her husband's business as executive secretary of Sport-craft Inc.

She later joined the staff of WLSH Radio and the Midweeker, Lansford, until her retirement. Vicki was president of Concerned Citizens of Schuylkill County Inc. since 1986, a county taxpayers' organization that she helped organize in 1980. She was the recipient of the Grass Roots Leadership Award on Oct. 6, 1998, from Citizens Against Higher Taxes and an Eagle Award on June 8, 1996, from the Pennsylvania Leadership Council for her work on behalf of the taxpayers of Pennsylvania.

She received the Woman of Distinction Award in 1992 from Penn's Woods Girl Scout Council Inc. for her work on the environment. Vicki was a former Girl Scouts leader, board member, Neighborhood Director and a nominating committee member. She was chosen outstanding volunteer during National Volunteer Week in 1980 for her many years of dedication to Girl Scouting. She was a lifetime member of the Girl Scouts.

She was the breakfast speaker for the Strong Girls Strong Futures Partnership in April 2003 and was honored for her services as Neighborhood Director from 1970 to 1987. In 1964, Vicki received a certificate of honor from VFW Post 6708, McAdoo, for her work with the children of the community A past United Way representative in McAdoo, she received a citation for Outstanding Community Service in 1961 and 1973. She helped the Red Cross Bloodmobile program in the McAdoo area in the '60s and '70s and also served on the Advisory Council on Education of the Hazleton Area School District, for which she received a document of appreciation. In 2006, she served on the tax study commission of the Hazleton Area School Board. Through the efforts of Vicki and her late husband, James, the first Automatic External Defibrillator (AED) was purchased by the McAdoo Ambulance Association.

Vicki served on the Kline Township Zoning Board from 1976 to 1983. She was appointed area representative for the REACH program for the Allentown Diocese which resulted in her attending ceremonies at the White House for the Reach Program at the invitation of President George H.W Bush in 1992. Surviving are nephews, Stephen, James, George, David, Joseph, Ron and Alexander Kotz and nieces, Joan Kotz Mizenko, Debra Elko, Barbara Kotz, Carol Sist, Ruth Kotz, Roseann Git-tins and Nancy Schlarp. A Mass of Christian Burial for Vicki will be celebrated at 11 a.m. Saturday at the Church of All Saints, McAdoo.

Interment will be in Sky-View Memorial Park, Hometown. Relatives and friends may call from 10 to 11 a.m. Saturday at the church. Cox December 22, 2014 Rhoda A. Yurenko December 22, 2014 Rhoda A. Yurenko, 94, of Orwigsburg, passed away Monday at Rest Haven nursing home, Schuylkill Haven. Born in Cressona, Aug. 23, 1920, she was a daughter of the late James D.

and Caroline R. Long Wingle. She was the widow of John Yurenko, who passed away in 2001. She was a 1938 graduate of Schuylkill Haven High School and was formerly employed by Bell Telephone Co. as an operator and in the local garment industry and retired from Craftex in 1985.

Rhoda was a member of St. Ambrose Roman Catholic Church, Schuylkill Haven. In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by sisters, Mary Swift and Helen Treno-skie. Surviving are a daughter, Kathleen Kampe, wife of Toms, Reading; grandchildren, Michael Kampe, David Kampe, husband of Isabel (Ospina), and Rebecca, wife of Fraser Clements; and great-grandchildren, Calvin, Katelyn and Kayla Kampe. A Celebration of Life funeral service will be held at 10:30 a.m.

Friday at Geschwindt-Stabingas Funeral Home Schuylkill Haven. A viewing for family and friends will be held from 9:30 a.m. until the time of the service at the funeral home. Olga Allen December 22, 2014 Olga Allen, 92, formerly of Maizeville, died peacefully Monday evening at River's Edge Nursing Home, Philadelphia. Funeral arrangements will be announced by Thomas M. William "Bill" Williams, 80, of Port Carbon, passed away Monday at ManorCare, Pottsville. Born March 28, 1934, he was a son of the late William and Mary Pawk Williams. Bill was raised in Brockton. He married the former Ann Oliver and moved to New Jersey where they lived and raised a family and later retired to Port Carbon. Bill served his country for two years in the post-Korean conflict.

He worked at Hatfield Wire Cable as district sales manager, Hillside, NJ, before beginning a career in real estate. A lover of all sports, he enjoyed playing baseball, football and was an avid golf- Robert Ernest "Bobby" Moser, 30, of 514 McKnight Gordon, passed away Sunday of natural causes. Born in Phoenixville, April 2, 1984, he was a son of Robert E. Jr. and Karyl L.

Kieffer Moser, Gordon. He was a graduate of the former Cardinal Brennan High School, Fountain Springs, Class of 2003, and following high school, he attended the Restaurant School of Philadelphia. Bobby was employed as an over-the-road truck driver for Teal's Transport, Freeland, until March 2013, and most recently as a mechanic assisting his father at Moser Automotive, 39 Walnut Ashland. He loved his family and was a very caring man with a good heart. Bobby enjoyed nature, particularly fishing, and riding his Harley-David-son motorcycle.

His family time was spent on vacations to Ocean City Maryland, and Paul Deeter, 85, of 62 Hill Road, Hegins, passed away Sunday at Geising-er Medical Center, Danville. Born March 19, 1929, in Hegins Township, he was a son of the late Percy and Margaret I. Geist Deeter. Paul served in the Army during the Korean War. He was a coal miner for several area coal mines prior to his retirement.

He was of the Protestant faith. Paul was a member of American Legion Post 575, Valley View. He enjoyed building things, gardening and was a true jack-of-all-trades. Preceding him in death, in addition to his parents, were four brothers, Junior, Donald, Elwood and Glen Deeter; and two sisters, Leoma Carl and Blanche Kimmel. He is survived by two In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a brother, Eugene; three sisters, Mary Zukovich, Laverne Huth and Berna-dette "Beverly" Trubilla; and a granddaughter, Samantha.

Surviving are his wife of 59 years, Ann; a sister, Florence Bubel; three daughters, Kim (Kong), Kelly (Stashko) and Tracy (Ciuba); a son, Jamey; a sister-in-law, Betty Dolan; nieces and nephews. A prayer service will be held at 9 a.m. Saturday at Thomas J. Bartashus Funeral Home, New Philadelphia. A 1939 graduate of the former Coaldale High School, she was a receptionist for Dr. Ben Houser Sr. and later for Dr. Ben Houser Jr. She retired from the Schuylkill County Courthouse, where she was a jury matron.

Dorothy was a member of St. John XXHI Roman Catholic Parish, Tamaqua. She was preceded in death by her husband, Edward J. Cox, Dec. 15, 2005; a son, Edward Cox, in 1967; a brother, Edward; and sisters, Veronica and Roseann.

Surviving are a daughter, Kathleen Shipton and her husband, Dr. William Ship-ton, Pottsville; grandsons, Aaron Shipton, Captain Kevin Shipton USMC and his wife, Lauren, Bryan Shipton and Ryan Shipton; a great-granddaughter, Alexis Aaryn Shipton; and a brother, John Derzock, Tamaqua. Interment will be in St. Jerome Cemetery Tamaqua. Arrangements are being handled by Zizelmann-Roche Funeral Home, 500 E.
