Jury Award Set $37,813 A federal court jury Wednesday awarded $37,813.16 to the family of an 18-year-old New Jersey girl who was killed April 5, 1975, when a car in which she was a passenger smashed through guardrails and plunged down an embankment at Dunham and Reeves Streets in Dunmore. The trial in the lawsuit against the operator of the car, Paul E. Tyrell, 28, formerly of 315 W. Drinker Dunmore, began Monday with Chief Federal Judge William J. Nealon presiding.

The complaint was brought by the family of the decedent, Ellen Demetrovlakos, Edison, N.J. -According to police reports at the time of the accident, the car operated by Tyrell was traveling west on Dunham Street and skidded out of control for 125 feet when Tyrell applied the brakes for a stop sign at Reeves Street.
