Funeral services are pending for Lon E. Schulz, 66, long-time resident of Porterville died Mon day evening at his home in Oakland following a heart attack. Schulz came to Porterville when a child with his parents. Upon his graduation from Stanford, he was employed as an engineer by the old Hercules Powder company at Pinole. When this company was absorbed by the DuPont corporation he went with the company to Wilmington, where he remained until ill health forced his retirement about 10 years ago.

Surviving are his wife, Kath-ryne; two sons, James and Howard who, with their families live in Wilmington, a brother, H. A. Schulz, San Francisco; and a sister, Mrs. Frank H.
