Gibbons, a veteran authority on area golf, haa been awarded a life-time membership in Elmhurst Country Club. Cody, Dicker Pace Comets Past Rams A member of the Elmhurst Club since 1934, Gibbons was awarded the life-time membership at the; last meeting of the club's board of directors. It was the unanimous decision of the board to reward Mr.

Gibbons for his long and ao tive devotion tu the club. The action makes Mr. Gibbons tho clubs first life-time member. He has served two terms as club i president and eight terms as a club director. For the past 13 years he has served as chairman of the membership committee.

Known as Mr. Elmhurst" byK, his vast legion of friends through-, out Northeastern Pennsylvania, Mr. Gibbons cherishes the friend-, 7 ships he has made In golf during the past 30 years. While his playj has been curtailed somewhat in recent years, Mr. Gibbons was an active player in his youth and managed to get in a daily game during the 30's and 40's.
