Dr. McLemore Bouchelle Are Engaged to Wed Mr. and Mrs. Niels Hoiness of Poughkeepsie, N. formerly of Brooklyn, announce the engagement of their daughter, Miss Joan Carol Hoiness, to Dr.

McLemore Bouchelle of Manhattan, formerly of Birming(ham, Ala. Dr. Bouchelle is the (son of Henry T. Bouchelle and the late Julia McLemore Bouchelle. Miss Hoiness is the granddaughter of Mrs.

Karen Torgesen and the late Capt. Thomas Torgesen, formerly of Brooklyn. She was graduated from Shore Road Academy and the Packer Collegiate Institute. She attended Vassar College and is a senior at Columbia Presbyterian School Medical Center, Miss Hoiness is a member of the As: Suclate Alumnae of the Collegiate Institute and Brooklyn Vassar Club. Dr.

Bouchelle, son of Henry T. Bouchelle and the late Mrs. Julia McLemore Bouchelle, was graduated from Birmingham Southern College and is a member of Phi Beta Kappa and Sigma Alpha Epsilon. He received the M.D. from Harvard Medical School.

Dr. Bouchelle interned and is an assistant resident in surgery at Columbia Presbyterian Hospital, Manhattan. During the war he served as captain with the Army in Hawaii and Japan. Walter Joseph Fox To Wed Joan Connelly Mr. and 1 Mrs.

Edward R. Connelly of Boston and North Falmouth, Cape Cod, have announced the engagement of their daughter, Miss Joan Connelly, to Walter Joseph Fox, son Mr. and Mrs. Walter E. Fox of Farmingdale.

Both Miss Connelly and Mr. Fox are now in Bremen, Germany. Miss Connelly is a member of the Army Special Services Corps and Mr. Fox is assistant general manager for central Europe of the United States Lines Company. Miss Connelly attended Miss Choate's School for Girls and was graduated from the Gar.

land Finishing School in Boston. She joined the Army Special Services Corps in October, 1948, and was assigned Fort Knox, In January, 1950, she was transferred to Kyra Bremen, Germany. Mr. Fox was graduated from Villanova College in and immediately joined S. 1942, Army.

He served as a pilot with the Air Corps in the China Burma theater and received the Distinguished Flying Cross and the Air Medal for the China-Burma front. Francis Callow of 380 St. John's Place. The Rev. James Tully officiated. Following the ceremony a wedding breakfast for the immediate families was held at Michel's and a reception was held in the evening.

Miss Mary Sweeney was maid of honor and Francis Callow acted as best man for his brother. Miss Mildred Haider attended as bridesmaid. Joseph Price and Charles and Joseph Bean, brothers of the bride, ushered. The bride, given in marriage by her father, wore a gown of white organdy, trimmed with white organdy eyelet, and her illusion veil was held in place by an organdy eyelet helmet. She carried a prayer book covered with orchids and gladioli.

The attendants also wore white organdy, trimmed with white organdy eyelet. They carried baskets of Summer flowers. Mrs. Callow is a graduate of Prospect Heights High School and is employed by the New Telephone Company. The bridegroom attended Bushwick High School and served with the United States Navy during the war.

McDonough, at a' nuptial mass at Holy Cross R. C. Church on Aug. 5. Miss Geraldine Farley of Brooklyn was maid of honor.

The bride, who was escorted by her father, wore an heirloom gown of imported French Chantilly lace and ivory satin, which had a high mandarin neckline, long sleeves, a tight bodice and a full skirt which terminated in a long train of satin and lace. Her full-length heirloom veil which was also of imported French Chantilly lace was arranged mantilla fashion and held in place by orange blossoms. She carried a bouquet of white orchids and stephanotis. Miss Ann Marie Dougherty, who was maid of honor for her sister, wore a gown of champagne satin with matching cloche and carried a bouquet of pale pink roses and dark blue delphinium.

The bridesmaids, who were attired in similar gowns of light blue satin with matching cloches, carried floral sprays of deep red roses. They included Mrs. Thomas Russell Miller of Rutherford, N. Mrs. Dustin Weekes of West New Brighton, S.

Miss Carol Stoffers of St. George, and Miss Jean Midwinter of Brooklyn. Arthur Foulkes of was best man. The ushers were James E. Dougherty brother of the bride; Thomas Miles, Thomas McGrath and Leonard Toole, all of Brooklyn.

The bride, who attended St. Saviour Academy, was graduated in 1948 from Notre Dame College, Grymes Hill, S. I. She is a member of the Guardian Guild and of the Brooklyn Kindergarten Society. She is a granddaughter of the late Mr.

and Mrs. James E. Dougherty of Brooklyn and of the late Mr. and Mrs. Charles E.
