Not Usable for Stage Shows Grain Market By H. ALAN VOLKMAR Chicago, Jan. IS. (AP) Soaring grain prices of yesterday were converted into breaks today with virtually all grain futures under heavy pressure most of the day.

The dominant factor in both sessions was price-control legislation. But yesterdays optimism that the legislation might be less restrictive than expected, turned to pessimism today as strong administration opposition developed to inflationary aspects of 'the measure passed by the senate. On the breaks some buying was credited to milling interests but for the mcEt part the trend was steadily lower. At the extremes, wheat, rye and soy beans broke as much as 3 cents, 6r more, while corn and oats lost more than a cent before recovering partially. At Close Most filial quotations were at or near the days lowest levels.

Wheat closed 2 2 cents lower, corn 11 cents off, oats 101 cents down, rye 12 -cents off and soy beans finished with losses of 2 3 cents. Lard closed 2 cents a hundredweight lower on the deferred deliveries to 5 cents higher on Jan-uaiy contracts'. Omn table: For Rent Apartments 13 FOR RENT- 6-room apartment. nw heated. target.

(P) The stock market today pinned Its recovery ribbons on a wide assortment of issues commodity affiliations, and -left many leaders to trudge over a narrow area.

Buying centered mainly on 'rubbers, metals, oils, chemicals, steels and speclalties-that might benefit by the expanded plans for boosting armament materials.
