March 24, 1997 HERALD NEWS B3 OBITUARIES Mary Bogdan LYNDHURST Mary (Gagyo) Bogdan, 76, died Saturday. BornE th Maine, she lived in East Rutherford before moving here 45 years ago. Mrs. Bogdan worked at Hoffmann La Roche Nutley, for 25 years, retiring in 1982. she worked at Howard a Zino Clifton.

She was a parishioner of Sacred Heart R.C. Church Lyndhurst. She was a member of the Ladies Auxiliary of Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 2640, Wallington, the HoffmannLaRoche Inc. Retiree Club, and the Mount Carmel Senior Citizens, Lyndhurst. She was preceded in death by her husband, Joseph.

Surviving are two sisters, Anna Lakeland, and Sabol of Little Falls; and a brother, Michael Gagyo of Kartienski Funeral Home, 106 Locust- Wallington, is in charge of arrangements. Buis was a supervisor for Uniroyal, Passaic, for 35, years, retiring in 1982. He was a member of the Hawthorne Lodge. He was preceded in death by his wife, the former Anna Boardman; and a son, Robert. Surviving are a son, Sonny of North Carolina; a daughter, Joanne LaNeve of Florida; 10 grandchildren; and 13 great-grandchildren." Francis Clancy Francis L. Clancy, 96, died Friday. Born in Brooklyn, he lived there. and in. Holiday, before moving here seven years ago.

Mr. Clancy was detective for the New York City Police Department, where he worked for 22 years before retiring in 1945. Afterward, he was an office manager for Robert Orr Advertising Agency, New York, for 15 years, retiring in 1965. He was preceded in death by his wife, usEle former Margaret Armstrong. Surviving are a son, Frank of Wayne; two daughters, Patricia Canning and Joan Doherty, both of Wayne, 11 grandchildren; and 11 great-grandchildren.

Born in New York, she lived in Paterson moving here 38 years ago. Mrs. De Feo was a aide at Paterson General Hospital and then Wayne General Hospital.

Afterward, she was a distributor "for central supply Wayne General before retiring in 1978,.. 2006 She was preceded in death by her husband, Fred. Surviving are two sons, Fred J. of Wayne and Charles of Lincoln Park, a daughter, Marilyn Brizzi of Bushkill, a brother, Joseph Ferrarelld of Oakland; five grand-' children; and two great- grandchildren. March 24, 1997 con Martin Dettwyler BERKELEY TOWNSHIP Martin Dettwyler, 94, died Sunday. Born in Bern, Switzerland, he came to the United States, living in Butler for many years before moving to Ocean County in 1987. Mr. Dettwyler was an electrical engineer With ITT, Nutley, for more than: 50 years. He was an avid model train enthusiast.

He was a member of the New Apostolic Church, Wayne. He was preceded in death by his wife, the former Luise Luckau. Surviving are two daughters, Ilse George of Pompton Lakes and Lily Frauenholz of Oakland; four grandchildren; and six greatgrandchildren. Fredericks, 74, of Holiday City, died Sunday. Born in Newark, she lived in Clifton most of her life before moving 'to Ocean County in 1985. Mrs. Fredericks worked at DeLuxe Checks, Clifton, retiring in 1984. Previously, she worked for Broadway Photo, Clifton.

She was a member of The Presbyterian Church, Toms River, and its Women's Circle Group. She was a member of Order of the Eastern Star, Little Falls Chapter, Holly Twigs of Berkeley, Berkeley Township. She was preceded in death by her husband, Wesley and a sister, Shirley Chisholm. Surviving are a son, David of Sunrise, two daughters, Donna Butzbach of Knoxville, and Doreen Fredericks of Toms River; and five grandchildren. March 24, 1997 Rose Rothenberg WAYNE Rose (Forusz) Rothenberg died Sunday. Born in Poland, she came to the United States, living in Wallington and Clifton for many years before moving here 20 years ago. Mrs. Rothenberg was a member of Temple Beth Tikvah, Wayne. She was a life member of the Ladies Auxiliary of Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 2640, Wallington.

She was a member of Jewish War Veterans 'Post 695, Wayne, and the Senior Group, Wayne. She was preceded in death by her husband, Morris; and a son, Jack. Surviving are two sons, William of Wayne and Passaic County Superior Court Judge Sylvan Rothenberg, also of Wayne; seven grandchildren; and seven greatgrandchildren. Russo, 76, died Friday. Born in New York, he lived in Wood-Ridge before moving here 20 years ago. Mr. Russo worked for Becton, Dickinson Co. for 20 years before retiring in 1982.

He was a member of the Becton Dickinson Retirement Club. He was a member of Assumption Church, Wood-Ridge. He was a former 1 member of the Holy Name Society of Wood-Ridge. He was a member of the Mercury Club, East Rutherford. He was an Army Air Forces veteran of World War II. He was a member of Unity Christian Reformed Church, Prospect Park. Surviving are his wife, the former Dorothy Mueller; a son, John of Bayville, Ocean County; a daughter, Karen Bosloper of Haledon; and three grandchildren.
