The oath was administered by Chief Justice James T. Harrison. Standing nearby was J. Hugo Aronson, who remarked later that he walked out of his private office as a governor and returned to it as a mere taxpayer. jAttractive brown-haired Mrs.

Nutter stood several feet away with arms crossed and smiled a little in wifely pride. Directly behind her was Mrs. Babcock, also and attractive woman. Warm Handshake When the oath was completed, the retiring Republican governor, J. Hugo Aronson, was the first to congratulate Nutter.

A strong Swedish handshake and the word congratulations came from the beaming, wrinkled, face of Aronson. Then Mrs. Nutter rushed to her husband, took his right hand in hers and kissed him hard on the lips. Nutter, hugging her in one arm, kissed her on the ear. Anderson of Culbertson, who was named secretary; Allen Donohue of Great Falls, assistant secretary; and N. J. (Neft) Cummings of Malta, sergeant-at-arms. Five committees were then established. They are: Committee on Committee Chelrmen W.
