Jackson was taken to a hospital to have the shoulder examined. Steve Fink, a Royals spokesman, said it appeared Jacksons shoulder had popped out and back in. It was described as a partial dislocation and not considered serious.

Jacksons first two homers were monster shots. He followed George Bretts first-inning walk with a 412-foot drive over the center-field wall. After Bill Pecota led off the third with his first home run in a year, Hawkins walked Brett again and Jackson hit a 464-foot, opposite-field homer halfway up the right-field bleachers. Bo Jackson hit three homers and drove in seven runs but had to leave Tuesday nights game in the sixth inning after injuring his left shoulder while attempting to make a catch as Kansas City beat New York 10-7.

Jackson hit two-run homers in the first and third innings off Andy Hawkins (1-8) and hit a three-run shot off Hawkins in the fifth. The third home run gave Jackson 19 for the season and 100 for his career. But he never got an opportunity to tie the major league record of four home runs in a game. Chandler wants to renegotiate his contract and has threatened to boycott the start of training camp on Thursday. Chandler said it was Coach Ron Meyer who told him the money might be withheld but said he thought the decision may have come from higher up in Colts management. GMCC had only five men Dave Bohyer, Rob Logsdon, Mike Miller, Steve Justice and your writer on the entry list prior to the start this morning of the 1990 Montana Mens Amateur Golf Tournament at the Yellowstone Country Club in Billings. There was no report regarding the Bill Roberts Golf entries but that course is not expected to field many more.

For whatever reason, GMCC does not generally generate a huge entry for either this tournament or the final of the five, the Montana Open at Missoulas Larchmont. GMCC does, however, usually field large and strong contingents in both the Womens Amateur and the Seniors. They also are, as a rule, well represented in the Montana Mid-Amateur. This type to representation is expected to continue this year, particularly in the Women's Amateur since that event opens next Tuesday at GMCC and there is already a huge group of local entrants. The entries for the Mid-Amateur at Fair- mont Hot Springs and the Seniors in Great Falls are expected to be representative of the local club as well.
