BROOKLYN EAGLE, SUNDAY, DEC. 29, 1940 Botanic Garden Auxiliary Plans Exhibition-Lecture on Jan. 20 Local Garden Clubs Invited to Attend Event: Mrs. Perkins Hostess Tomorrow The Women's Auxiliary den, of which Mrs. Henry J.

hold its first invitation exhibition garden clubs of Brooklyn at a Monday afternoon, Jan. 20. Mrs. Charles E. Perkins and are co-chairmen of the event which has been arranged in the interest of closer association between the Women's Auxiliary of the Botanic Garden and Brooklyn's increasing number of garden clubs.

Members of eleven garden clubs in the borough will be invited to attend the party. Mrs. Perkins will hold a meeting at her home, 261 Henry tomorrow morning, Monday, for her committee of Auxiliary members to complete plans for the garden lecture party. E. L.

Seymour, editor of the American Home, will be the speaker of the day, and a' feature of the occasion will be an exhibtion of the children's work arranged by Miss Ellen Eddy Shaw, curator of elementary of the Brooklyn Botanic GarDavenport is chairman, will and garden lecture for the party at the Botanic Garden Miss Elizabeth R. Van Brunt 1 of the Brooklyn Botanic Garden. An invitation to presidents of garden clubs of Brooklyn to attend a preliminary tea at Mrs. Perkin's home has been issued for Thursday afternoon.

At this meeting, the garden clubs will be invited to take part in plans for the Jan. 20 event. The invitations for the preliminary meeting have been issued to the following garden club presidents: Mrs. Cora Andrews of the Alice Rowley Garden Club, Mrs. George Feddersen, of the Bay Ridge Garden Club, Mrs.

Catholic Big Sisters Plan Party Mrs. John Muller has been appointed chairman of the annual card party to be given Saturday afternoon, Jan.

Hewlett Has Yule Parties Special to the Brooklyn Eagle Hewlett, Dec. 28-Mr. and Mrs. Edward Dunning, who are occupying the Ralph B. Semler house at 150 Woodside Drive here this Winter, were hosts at the ceremony of the Bishop's Cup yesterday.

The maid of honor, Miss Eleanor P. Martin of Brooklyn, sister of the bride, was dressed in cornflower blue taffeta.
