James Fltzgibbon, retired police lieutenant, who, during his 82 years on the police force, was attached to the office of several commissioners, Including Theodore Roosevelt, died yesterday at his home, 8772 172d Jamaica, of arteriosclerosis.

He was 72. Mr. Fltzgibbon entered the Police Department in 1886. He became a sergeant In 1905 and a lieutenant in 1911, retiring In 1918, The greater number of his years were spent at Manhattan Police Headquarters, attached to the Confidential Squad. After his retirement, he spent two years organizing a police force at the U.

S. Army Base in South Brooklyn and from there joined the Oriental Steamship Company to organize a police force for them. He afterward was associated with the vault department of the Bank of Manhattan for four years until a decade ago, Funeral Saturday Mr. Fltzgibbon was a member of Knights of Columbus, Long Island Council, 197, and the Lieutenants, Sergeants and Patrolmen's Benevolent associations. He was born In Manhattan and had lived in Jamaica 14 years.

The funeral will be from his residence Saturday. A requiem mass will be offered at the Immaculate Conception R. C. Church, 10 a.m. Interment will follow In St.

John's Cemetery. The survivors are his wife, Anna a daughter, Mrs. Ella BUbs; two sons, William and Allan; a brother, John, and a sister, Ann. Mrs.W.C'Hygren Dies in Freeport Special to The Eagle Freeport, Aug. 28 Mrs.

Wilhel-mina Charlotte Hygren, a resident of Freeport for the last 33 years, died at her home, 81 S. Ocean last night following a seven months' illness. Funeral services will be held Friday at 2:30 p.m. from the Church of the Transfiguration, she was a member of the Ladles Guild and other surch societies. The Rev.

Reginald H. Scott, rector, will officiate. Burial will be in Greenfield Cemetery. Mrs. Hygren was born In Sweden and lived In this country for 43 years.

Her husband, Werner Hygren, is a former president of the old Freeport Club, now the Spartan Temple. Others surviving are two sons, Oscar of Mineola and Kerner of Freeport, and two daughters, Astrid of Freeport and Mrs. Slgne Koetzner of Manhattan. Mrs. Ida Reilly Rites Tomorrow Funeral services will be held tomorrow at the Holy Innocents R.

C. Church for Mrs. Ida Brand Reilly, 65, who died Monday at the Brooklyn Hospital following an operation. The funeral will be from her residence, 336 E. 16th 8:30 a.m.

Interment will take place in Williamsport, where Mrs. Reilly was born. Mrs. Reilly was the first grand regent of the Catholic Daughters of America Court in Williamsport, which she organized. Coming to Brooklyn 11 years ago, she became active In the Ladles Auxiliary of Holy Innocents Church.

Surviving are her husband, Francis, and six daughters, Evelyn E. and Rita Reilly, Mrs. Edward R. Dwyer, Mrs. John A.

Connolly of New Rochelle, Mrs. Edward S. Peer of Portland, and Mrs. Marcelino Garcia and a sister, Mrs. Anna V.

Cooper, of Sunbury, Pa. Mrs. John Schling Fatally Injured by Auto in Huntington Special to The Eagle Huntington, Aug. 28 Struck by an automobile on New York Ave. in front of the Rip Van Winkle Inn last night, Mrs.

John Schling, 51, of Park Halesite, died this morning in Huntington Hospital. The ear was owned by Irving Heller of 4365 Maryland St. Louis, and driven by Walter H. Morgan of 91 Knollwood Huntington. Morgan is held on a technical charge of manslaughter.

28-21 Special Correspondent of The Eagle Elmira, Aug. 28 The Brooklyn delegates to the American Legion State Convention In Rochester spent the night at the Mark Twain Hotel here and resumed the trip to the convention city this morning. The Brooklyn motorcade of 25 cars arrived here at 7:30 o'clock last niRht. The delegates were met outside the city by John T. Osowski, State treasurer of the Legion, and escorted to the hotel by a detail of police and the famous Elmira Post Sherman Band.

Among the prominent Brooklyn Leglonalres in the motorcade were James M. Clark, County Commander; Mr. and Mrs. James M. Golding, Mr.

and Mrs. William A. Halloran Capt. Charles M. Ward, County Vice Commanders Thomas P.

Du-gan and Harry B. Ahrens, County Service Officer Joseph P. Piccirillo, Past County Commander Irving M. Saunders and George Behrendt. The French box car and locomotive of Voiture Numero 17 of the 40 and 8, the honor group of the Legion In Brooklyn which left New York bearing a letter of greeting from Major LaGuardia of New York to the Mayor of Rochester on the occasion of the opening of the 17th annual State convention, encountered difficulties a little north of Scranton, Pa.

A late report to this city stated that it would resume its trip tomorrow after repairs were completed. Hundreds of cars are reported on the highways bearing legionaires to the convention. John Shine Dead; Associated With Firm 47 Years Funeral Mass to Be Tomorrow at 11 A.M. at St.

Thomas Aquinas The funeral of John Shine, 62, a resident of Brooklyn practically all his life until he moved to Staten Island about eight years ago, will be held tomorrow. He lived at 44 Jacques New Dorp. Ths body will be brought to Brooklyn, where a mass will be offered at 11 a.m. at the R. C.

Church of St. Thomas Aquinas, 1550 Hendrickson of which Mr. Shine had been a member for almost half a century. Mr. Shine died Monday at Richmond Memorial Hospital.

He was employed by the National Lead Company, He had been associated with the firm 47 years and at the time of his death was assistant superintendent of its plant at Maurer, N. J. He was a member of the Knights of Columbus, Cardinal Olbbons Council, for 25 years and the Holy Name Society of St. Thomas Aquinas Church. Surviving are his wife, Mary; his mother, Mrs.

Margaret Shine of 2194 E. 47th six children, Mrs. Mary Jurgensen, Mrs. Celia Forster. William, Helen, Edward and James; three sisters, one brother and nine grandchildren.

Interment will be in Holy Cross Cemetery. Capt. J. Hansen Dies Aboard Boat Capt. John Hansen, skipper of the fishing boat Giraldi, died of a heart attack aboard the boat while off Asbury Park, N.

last evening. He was 67. An ambulance surgeon from Coney Island Hospital pronounced him dead when the boat docked at Pier 6, Sheepshead Bay. Captain Hansen, who lived at 1586 92d had been sailing fishing boats for 50 years and was well known among amateur fishermen. He was formerly owner of the fishing boat Glory and at another time owned the fishing craft Sappho.

Levy, prominent In philanthropic circles In Brooklyn and an organizer and president of the Junior Child Guidance League of Brooklyn, died yesterday In the Jewish Hospital after an operation. She lived at 25 Tennis Court. Miss Levy was graduated from Adephl College and received her M.A. degree at Columbia University. She was a member of Iota Alpha Pi, Delta Tau Alpha and Pi Gamma Mu and was a charter member of the board of governors of the Junior Federation of the Brooklyn Federation of Jewish Charities.

She is survived by her parents, Joseph M. and Florence Levy, and a brother, Harold Levy. Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. to morrow at Congregation Shaarl Zedek, Kingston Ave. and Park Place.

Burial will be in Washington Cemetery. Eugene S. Kelly's Burial Tomorrow Eugene S. Kelly, 74, former Brook lyn building contractor and tenement house inspector who died Monday, will be buried tomorrow in Holy Cross Cemetery following a requiem mass at Holy Innocents R. C.

Church at 9:30 a.m. Mr. Kelly, who lived at 32 Chester Court, was a lifelong resident of Brooklyn. Klein, owner of Klein's Dress Store, Union Square, Manhattan, and a prominent contributor to the Prospect Park Zoo, died today at 6:30 a.m. at her home, 320 2d Union City, N. J. Mrs. Klein had lived most of her life in Manhattan where she was for many years a leader in Jewish philanthropic work.

All of Mrs. Klein's eight children were at her bedside when she died. They are four sons, S. Klein, Harry Klein, Herman and Irving Klein, and four daughters, Mrs. Lena Sobel, Mrs.

Jennie Marcus, Mrs. Sarah Weissman and Mrs. Mamie Salde-man. Out of respect to Mrs. Klein the store at Union Square was closed today.

At the Mother's Day dinner given at the Hotel Astor, May 13, 1934, by the World War Peaceways, Mrs. Klein was greeted by Mrs. James Roosevelt, mother of the President. Funeral services were held tills afternoon at the home. Burial was in Washington Cemetery.

Mrs. Mclntyre. who died Monday, was vel known in Brooklyn, where sne lived lor many years, unui sne left the stage 20 years ago Mrs. Mc Intyre was part of her husband's act, one of the oldest and most famous of the burnt-cork teams. Mclntyre and Heath were together for 54 years, believed to be a record for a stage partnership.

Mr. and Mrs. Mclntyre had been married for 53 years. They had a son, who died in 1921. Surviving Mrs.
