Tempera-, T.n;v I Services Are Held For Mrs. Andersen Funeral services were held today at the Fairchild ChapeL 86 Lefferts Place, for Mrs. Ida Andersen, wife of Fred Andersen, veteran Brooklyn Eagle reporter. The Rev. Herbert Peters, pastor of the Evangelical Lutheran Church, 59 Scher-merhorn officiated.

Burial was In Cedar Grove Cemetery, Flushing. Mrs. Andersen, who was 56. died Tuesday In Evangelical Deaconess Hospital of heart ailment She was bom In Manhattan but had lived In Brooklyn most of her life. Besides her husband, she Is survived by two son.

Robert N. and Pfc. Edward J. Andersen, the latter with the army overseas; a sister, Mrs. Lillian Lord of Center Moriches, and two brothers.

Rellly, pastor of St. Thomas Aquinas, Flatlands, deacon; the Rev. Leo A. Kelly, administrator of St. Matthew's Church, subdeacon.

Morsigncr Richard E. McHugh, rector of Cathedral College, will deliver the sermon. The will be sun by the Diocesan Choir, composed of priests. An authority on the liturgy of the Roman Catholic Church and a student of Roman literature. Father Gorman was identified with St.

John' for 22 years. He was professor of biology at the preparatory school for the first two years. He then was made director of the seminary, a post which he held for 15 years. Ill health eventually forced him to relinquish this work. He went to Princeton in 1932.

5 in Orlando, Fla. He was 72. Until he went to Florida 18 months ago he lived at 290 8th St. He was a life member of the Elks, a member of Royal Arcanum, and was formerly a member of the 12th Assembly District Republican Club and the South Brooklyn Board of Trade. Surviving are his widow, Mrs.

4th Ave. and 46th SU with which he had been associated line 1910, died yesterday in Norwegian Hospital. He was 71 and one of the most widely known clergymen of the Norwegian Lutheran Church In America. Born in a small community near Stavanger. Norway, son of Ole and Anna Bergeland Sigmond, he came to the United States when 18.

and for a while lived In Zumbrota, Minn. He made his decision to become' a minister at an early age, and entered Muhlenberg College, from which he received his B.A. degree. He then studied at Chicago Theological Seminary, later taking postgraduate courses at Erlanen University, Germany, and Hartwlck Seminary. Brooklyn.

He received an honorary degree of Doctor of Divinity from the latter Institution in 1931. When Dr. Sigmond was called to the pastorate of Trinity Church 33 years ago he had served as pastor of a small church In a distant part of the country for a few months. For a number of years the Bay Ridge congregation worshipped in a basement structure, and then the present superstructure was added. During his 33 years' association with the church the membership Increased from 300 to about 2,000, the Sunday School becoming one of the largest in the borouah.

From 1923 to 1024 Dr. Sigmond. who traveled abroad extensively, was a member of the Foreign Missions Board of the Norwegian Lutheran Church in America, and for a number of years was president of the Federation of Norwegian Lutheran Young People' Societies In America. He was a vice president of the World Sunday School Convention, and In 1927 attended the Christian Unity Conference In Lausanne. Dr.

Sigmond, who wa unmarried. Rites Tomorrow For Mrs. Darbee Wife of Bank President, lifelong Resident in Boro Funeral services for Mrs. Lulu T. Darbee, wife of Robert S.

Darbee, president of the Bay Ridge Savings Bank and chairman of Group of the Savings Bank Association of the State, will be held at 10 a.m. tomorrow in Christ Episcopal Church, Bay Ridge Boulevard and 73d St. The Rev. John H. Fitzgerald, rector, will officiate.

Burial will be in Mount Olivet Cemetery. Mrs. Darbee died Wednesday at her hom 237 81st St. She was a lifelong resident of the borough and for many years had been active in the Bay Ridge Day Nursery, Bay Ridge branch of the American Red Cross, Ladies Auxiliary of Victory Memorial Hospital and Ladies Auxiliary of Norwegian Hospital. Besides her husband, she is survived by a son, Lt.

Robert S. Darbee U. S. Marine Coorps. and two sisters.

Harkness Estate Is Net The estate of Edward Stephen Harkness, financier and philanthropist, who died Jan. 24. 1940, has a net value of approximately $56,000,000, which eventually will go to- religious, charitable and educational Institutions, an estate tax appraisal discloses. The bulk of the estate, originally valued at $97,000,000, was left in trust for his widow, Mrs.

"Mary Stillman Harkness. Upon her death one-half of the principal will go to the Commonwealth Fund, a medical-charity foundation established by Harkness' mother in 1918; one-quarter to the Presbyterian Hospital of New York, and the balance divided equally among ten institutions. They are Yale University. Atlanta University, Harvard College, Columbia University for the College of Physicians and Surgeons, the Metropolitan Museum of Art, the New York Public Library, St. Paul' School, the Hampton Normal and Agricultural Institute, and two organizations now known as the Community Service Society of New York.

RITES TODAY A requiem mass for Joseph F. Mc-Mahon, 74, retired police captain who died Monday, was offered today in St. Francis de Sales R. C. Church, Belle Harbor.

He lived at 328 Beach 147th Neponsit, and retired in 1927 after 30 years of service. Running away from home at the age of 11 to join a Gilbert and Sullivan opera company. Collier worked himself up through bit parts and understudying. His first featured role was on Broadway with Eddie Foy in "Bluebeard Jr." He later played with such stars as Lillian Russell, Weber and Fields and David Warf leld.

He wrote and played in a series of farces, including "Caught in the Rain," "The Patriot" and "Nothing But the Truth." For a time he was associated with George M. Cohan and later produced his own revue, "Nifties." Coming to Hollywood in the early days of the film industry, he worked under Mack Sennett and the late Thomas Ince with the old Triangle productions. He then alternated between New-York and Hollywood, appearing in scores of musical revues, plays and motion pictures until 1941, when illness forced him into re-tiremen. Collier was dean of the Friars, an actors' organization, and was noted as a banquet toastmas-ter in New York. Survivors Include his widow, Paula; a son, Buster; a brother, John, and a sister, Mrs.
