Bur ial will be In St. Paul's Cemetery, Elmont. Henry Acker Rites Tonight in Queens Funeral services will be held 8 p.m. for Henry Acker, a deputy sheriff of Queens County and a pioneer resident of South Ozone Park, who devoted much of his life to the civic betterment of that community. Mr.

Acker, who would have been 71 on April 1, died Saturday at the Jamaica Hospital after a brief Illness. His home was at 142-50 Rockaway Boulevard, South Ozone Park. Born in Brooklyn, Mr. Acker lived in thl3 borough until he went to South Ozone Park 35 years ago. He was a charter member of the South Ozone Park Regular Democratic Club, of which he also was treasurer, and of the South Ozone Park Civic Association.

He also was a member of Queensboro Lodge, B. P. O. and the Independent Order of Foresters. With the exception of two years, 1936 and 1937, he had been a deputy sheriff for the last 13 years.

A captain in his election district, Mr. Acker took an active part In many political campaigns. Surviving are his widow, Mrs. Lena E. Acker; a daughter, Emma C.

Highbie; two sons, John H. and Frederick G. Acker, and three grandchildren, John Acker Charles R. Acker and Kenneth B. Hlgble.

The services will be conducted at the Fairchild Chapel, 89-31 164th Jamaica. Burial will be to morrow in the Lutheran Cemetery. Mrs. Cecilia Harfin Services Are Held Funeral services were held last night at her home, 3 Cambridge Place, for Mrs. Cecilia W.

Harfin, widow of Jean Francois Louis Harfin, who died Saturday at her residence after being In ill health for many years. Her husband, descendant of an old Huguenot family, was in the lithographing and printing business and a member of the University Club of Brooklyn. Born in Jersey City, Mrs. Harfin had lived in Brooklyn for about 40 years. She is survived by a son, Louis E.

Harfin. Burial was to be in the Bay View Cemetery, Jersey City. Mrs. Louis Schoemer Willlston Park, March 14 Mrs. Jennie L.

Schoemer, 45, of 76 Hillside here, a former resident of the Greenpoint section of Brooklyn, died of pneumonia yesterday in the Nassau Hospital after an illness of five weeks. She was born in Green-point, but had lived here for 10 years. Mrs. Schoemer was a member of the local Veterans of Foreign Wars Auxiliary and that organization will hold services tomorrow at 8:30 p.m. in the John W.

Florence A. Thomas, widow of Andrew J. Thomas, who died Sunday at her homo on Buckram Road at the age of 8.5. Born in East Norwich, she had lived here 62 years. The Rev.

Burial will be tomorrow in Greenfield Cemetery, Hempstead. i Christianna Watts Rites in Lynhrook Lynbrook, March 15 Funeral services will be conducted this aft ernoon for Mrs. Christianna Watts in her home, 140 Union where she had lived for more than 50 years. Mrs. Watts, a descendant of an old Long Island family and a life resident of this section, died Sunday in Mercy Hospital, Hemp- sieaa, at tne age of 84.

She was taken to the hospital a short time ago for treatment of a fractured hip which she suffered in a fall in her home. Her health had been failing for several years. She was the widow of Samuel Watts, also a life resident of this section, who died several years ago. Mis. Watts leaves two sons, Arthur and William, and two daughters.

Mrs. Marie E. Cox and Mrs. Mabel Driscoll, ail this village. The funeral service will be conducted by the Rev.

Walter S. Patrick, pastor of the Lynbrook M. E. Church, of which she was a member. Burial will be in Rockvllle Cemetery here.

Services Are Held For S. Loewenthal Funeral services were to be held today for Samuel Loewenthal, a resident of Brooklyn for 38 years and a member of Temple Bnai Israel, 54th St. and 4th who died Sunday at the Sydenham Hospital in Manhattan. For the last two years he had lived at 250 W. 78th Manhattan.

Mr. Loewenthal was associated for 30 years with the John Hancock Life Insurance Company. He was a member of the Modern Woodmen of America. Surviving are his widow. Mrs.

Blanche Loewenthal; two daughters, Mtss Zoe Loewenthal and Mrs. Dorothea Solomon, and a son Julius Loewenthal. Mr. Loewenthal was born in Germany 69 years ago. The services were to be conducted at the Mid town Memorial Chapel 175 W.

85th Manhattan. Burial was to be in Mount Lebanon Cemetery. Harry C. Flower Bayville, March 15 Funeral services will be held tomorrow for Harry C. Flower, carpenter and builder, who died suddenly Sunday at his home on Godfrey Ave.

He was 48 years old, and a lifelong resident of Bayville. He Is survived by hts parents, Mr. and Mrs. Albert Flowers; his wife, the former Marjorie Golden; two daughters, Mrs. Embert Comstock of Oyster Bay and Marjorie Flower of Bayville; a son, Henry; three sisters and two brothers.

The Rev. A. J. Martin, minister of the Bayville Methodist Church, will officiate at the services at 2:30 p.m. interment, will take place in Bayville Cemetery.

Dr. Harry H. Wilson Dr. Harry Hall Wilson, who was born in Brooklyn and was wounded while serving overseas during the World War. died Sunday in the Halifax District Hospital, Daytona Beach, accordins; to word received here today.

Of Hospital Ward Former Mary M'Hugh Was Holy Family Supervisor for the Last 20 Years Sister Anita Concepts of the Sisters of Charity died at 11:55 o'clock last night of a heart ailment in the' Holy Family Hospital where she had been supervisor of the female ward for the last 20 years. She had been ill for about three weeks. Sister Anita, who was Miss Mary McHugh, had been a Sister of Charity for 39 years. She went to Holy Family Hospital from St.

Vincent's Hospital, Manhattan. About 30 years ago, while at St. Vincent's, she attended U. S. senator William Gibbs McAdoo during an Illness there.

Born in County Donegal, Ireland, Sister Anita came to this country as a young girl, and for a time lived In Holy Cross parish in Brooklyn. Before entering religion, she had been a nurse. An uncle. John Sweeney, lives in Flatbush. Also surviving are four nieces, Mrs.

Mary Finnegan of Staten Island and Mrs, Ann McGlnley, Mrs. Margaret Stark and Miss Grace Gallagher, all of Philadelphia, and a nephew, Joseph Gallagher, also of Philadelphia. A solemn requiem mass will be offered Thursday at 10 a.m. in St. Paul's R.

George R. Israel Westwood, N. March 15-Fu- neral services will be held here tomorrow at 10 a.m. for the Rev. George Richard Israel, for 30 years pastor of the Ridgewood Dutch Reformed Church in Brooklyn and an active minister for 45 years, who died Sunday in the Meyers Sanatorium in Park Ridge, N.

J. He was 77. Since retiring ten years ago as a clergyman of the Dutch Reformed Church of America, Mr. Israel had lived at Maple Hill, Kingston. He was born in Egg Harbor, N.

and educated at the Moravian Theological Seminary at Bethlehem, Pa. Surviving are sons, Walter T. and Herbert C. Israel, seven brothers and sisters and two grandchildren. Burial will be in Evergreens Cemetery.

Charles H. Cotton Charles H. Cotton, 93, one of the last surviving members of the Grand Army of the Republic In Brooklyn and sole surviving member of Lincoln's funeral escort, died suddenly today at his home, 238 Willoughby Avenue. A lifelong resident of Brooklyn, Mr. Cotton had served two terms in the State Assembly.

Until he passed away in his sleep, he had been mentally active and read the newspapers as recently as yesterday. Until 1936 he had walked dally to Borough Hall. He marched frequently in Memorial Day parades. Tentative funeral plans Include services Thursday evening and burial Friday morning in Green-Wood Cemetery. His only immediate survivor is a daughter, Miss Grace Corning Cotton.

She also was a member of the Women's Press Club In Man hattan. Born In McConnellsville, N. near Camden, she had lived in Brooklyn for 33 years, 20 of them at the E. 28th St. address.

Previ ously she and her husband had re sided in Chicago and in Johns town, Pa. Mr. Ellsworth is a direct descend ant or Supreme Court Justice Oliver Ellsworth and his father was a cousin of Col. Elmer E. Ellsworth of Civil War fame.

Also surviving are a daughter, Mrs. Florence Taylor of Flint, four brothers, Frank, George, Burton and Clarence, all of up-State New York, and four grandchildren. John P. Johnson, 53, of 25 Dike-man for the last 12 years a clerk in the Board of Elections office In Brooklyn, died suddenly of a heart attack yesterday at the home of his daughter, Mrs.

Thomas Kelly, at 86 Russell Great Kills, S. I. A lifelong resident of the Erie Basin section, Mr. Johnson was a Democratic election district captain in the 3d A. D.

For the last 20 years he had been a Summer resi dent of Rockaway Point, where he was a captain of the Volunteer Fire Department, and a member of the Antlers and the Rockaway Point Yacht Club. Surviving, in addition to Mrs. Kelly, are a son, Howard; a daughter, Mrs. William Dougherty; three grandchildren, Howard Johnson, Warren Kelly and William Dougherty, and a sister, Mrs. Hugh Lewis.
