Rites Tomorrow For Mrs. Tuttle Services Arranged for Oldest Member of Lafayette Ave. Church, Dead at 93 Funeral services will be held at 2:30 p.m. tomorrow in the Fairchild Chapel, 86 Lefferts Place, for Mrs. Arabella B.

Stewart Tuttle, widow of Silas Tuttle, and oldest member of the Lafayette Avenue Presbyterian Church, who died of a heart attack Sunday in her 94th year in Daytona Beach, where she was spending the Winter. Mrs. Tuttle formerly lived for many years at 499 Washington Ave. She and her husband, who was a supervisor in the old City of Brooklyn, were married 67 years at his death in 1930 and were one of the oldest married couples in Brooklyn. Mr.

Tuttle was one of the founders of the Tuttle Manufacturing Company in N. 10th St. Mrs. Tuttle was born in Jersey City, daughter of the late Samuel and Ann Elia Stewart. Surviving are seven children, the Misses Ida M.

and Elizabeth F. Tuttle, Willard S. Tuttle, Mrs. Frank S. Voorhees, Mrs.

Edward Benedict, Mrs. Edna R. Pomeroy and Walter I. Tuttle. Eight grandchildren five greatgrandchildren also survive.

Burial will be in Green-Wood Cemetery. Rites Tomorrow For Dr. O. S. Ritch Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m.

tomorrow for Dr. Orando S. Ritch, 79, who died yesterday at his home, 78 Halsey St. One of the oldest active, physicians and surgeons in the borough, Dr. Ritch completed 60 years of practice last month, when he received a gold medal at a luncheon celebrating the anniversary at the Flower-Fifth Ave.

Hospital, Manhattan. The services will be at the child Chapel, 86 Lefferts Place, and burial will follow at Greenwood Cemetery. Dr. Ritch "retired" two years ago, but soon tired of inactivity and resumed practice. At that time it was said he had attended 1,800 births and never lost a mother, and that he had operated at Cumberland Hospital for 37 successive years.

He was also attached to the Prospect Heights, Carson C. Peck Memorial and the Brooklyn Nursing and Infants Hospitals. He was one of the oldest members of the Tompkins Ave. Congregational Church. Surviving Dr.

Ritch are two daughters, Mrs. Helen Corby and Mrs. Hilda Spangle, and a son, Harold Ritch. James J. Morton Last Rites Today A solemn requiem mass was to be offered today in St.

Malachy's R. C. 1 Church in W. 49th Manhattan, for James J. Morton, veteran vaudeville actor, who died Sunday in the Brunswick Home at Amityville.

For several years he was a guest at the Percy Williams Home in East Islip. Born on Christmas Day, 1861, in Boston, he made his stage debut there in 1887. He had been a member of the team of Morton and Revelle, and had played the parents of George M. Cohan at Lathrop's Theater in Boston. He had appeared frequently at Tony Pastor's Theater and at Hammerstein's Victoria in Manhattan.

A daughter, Blanche Morton, survives. William W. Thurston William W. Thurston of 289 Lewis formerly for 50 years with the wholesale dry goods firm of James H. Dunham died yesterday at his home after an illness of two months.

He WAS born in Oyster Bay, and was a trustee of the Lewis Avenue Congregational Church and a member of Aurora Grata Lodge, F. A. M. He is survived by his widow. Harriet Frances Thurston; a daughter, Jessie Hall Thurston; two sisters.

Miss Julia L. Thurston and Mrs. William L. Swan of Baltimore. and a nephew, Robert J.

Ludlam of Oyster Bay. Services will be held at 5 p.m. tomorrow in the Fairchild Chapel, 86 Lefferts Place. Hold Rites Tonight For Harold L. Engle Funeral services will be held this evening at 8 o'clock for Harold Lathrop Engle of 480 E.

26th a salesman for the A. C. Horn Paint Company, in Long Island City and a 32d degree Mason, who died of a heart attack Monday in Westport, Conn. He was 52. Stricken while driving his automobile on the Boston Post Road, Mr.

Engle lost contror of the car, which rolled over a slight embankment. alighted from his machine, but died almost instantly. Mr. Engle was born in Brooklyn and was a life resident of the borough. He was a member of Kings County Lodge, 511.

Sophie Goebel Funeral services will be held at 8 p.m. tomorrow for Mrs. Sophie Frederica Goebel of 1776 E. 26th widow of former State Senator Lewis S. Goebel, who died yesterday in her 94th year after a brief illness.

Mrs. Goebel is survived by two daughters, Mrs. Sophie Gutgsell and Alice M. Goebel, and two sons. George and Frederick B.

Goebel. The funeral will be private. Mrs. Goebel was a native of Germany, Her husband, who died in 1915, was a prominent lawyer and active in Republican politics. Passes BERGMAN -Mass was offered this morning for the repose of the soul of CHARLES L.

Hoag was born in England on May 10, 1884, a son of Mr. and Mrs. John Hoag. He had been an eye specialist for 30 years, and practiced at Patchogue for 18 years before going to Riverhead. Surviving are his wife, Mrs.

Maude Hoag, and a brother, Harry Hoag, both of Riverhead. 300 Horticulturists At Barron Service Rockville Centre, April 13-More than 300 persons interested in horticulture attended funeral services yesterday at the Church of the Ascension for Leonard Barron of 22 Cedar who died Saturday. The Rev. Seward Sherwood, the rector, officiated. Burial was in Greenfield Cemetery.

Honorary pallbearers were Charles Winchester and Frank Hedges of the Flower Growers Magazine, of which Mr. Barron was editor; Fred Rockwell of the New York Times, Eugene Boerum of the Joleson-Reikins Nursery of New Jersey, Romaine Ware, a writer, and Joseph Lane of House and Garden magazine. Representatives from Doubleday Doran of Garden City were present, as were representatives of many garden clubs. Mr. Barron was 69.

Dr. C. Luther Fry Rochester, N. April 13 (U.P). Dr.

C. Luther Fry of Rochester University, considered one of the nation's foremost sociologists, died yesterday. He was 44. Dr. Fry was selected in 1933 to investigate race relations for the New York City Institute of Social Research.

He was a member of former President Herbert Hoover's commission which studied "recent trends" and was director of the India fact-finding committee of Governor Herbert H. Lehman's foreign missions inquiry. Obituaries MRS. ROSE A. MURTHA DALTON, of 2559 E.

Mrs. Sgier died Monday after a short illness. She was a former officer of the Ladies Catholic Benevolent Association and had organized several branches of that order, and was a member of Loretta Council, Catholic Daughters of America, Her interests also included the Catholic Charities of Queens and the ladies' auxiliaries of Mary Immaculate Hospital in Jamaica and other hospitals in Queens.
