Wessell, Port Washington, will be held tomorrow evening at the Fred Herbst Funeral Chapel, 7501 5th Ave.

Mr. Thoubboron, who retire ten years ago from the printing firm of James Thoubboron k. Brother, which was organized by his father, a pioneer Brooklynite, was a past regent and member of the Acme Council of the Royal Arcanum. Hs was also a member of the Veterans Association of the Royal Arcanum. He is survived by four daughters, Mrs.

Robert L. Weasel, Mrs. Walker F. Miller Miss E. Maud Thoubboron and Mrs.

Frederick A. Whit-taker, all of Long Island. Burial will be In Greenwood Cemetery on Mrs. Lizzie Gray, Church Worker Life Resident of Borough Was One of Founders of Chiropean Society Mrs. Lizzie Gray, one of the founders of Chiropean and long active in the affairs of Central Congregational Church, died yesterday afternoon at her home, 1439 Union after a short illness.

She was 82. Mrs. Gray was born in the Eastern District, daughter of the late William Green, prominent real estate pioneer in that section, and for many years was active In the social life of that community. She also was one of the original members of Chaminade, of which her daughter, Mrs. Amelia Gray-Clarke, is conductor.

Mrs. Gray was the widow of Robert Morrison Gray. Custom House broker and prominent churchman, who died in 1923. Surviving Mrs. Gray are two daughters, Mrs.

Gray-Clarke and Mrs. Cord A. Meyer; four grandchildren, Frank Gray-Clarke, Mrs. Arthur Lorlng Douglas Mrs. Nel-lon Wilbur Doyle and Miss Florence Morrison Meyer, and a great-grandson, Bruce Mount Doyle.

Funeral services will be held at 2:30 p.m. Friday in the chapel of Central Congregational Church, Hancock St. near Franklin with the associate pastor, the Rev. Olin A. Lewis, officiating.

19 Thomas J. Hogan, 49, of 555 W. Fulton Long Beach, former supervisor and treasurer of the City of Long Beach, died last night from a stomach ailment in the New York Hospital, Manhattan. Mr. Hogan was born In Brooklyn in 1888 and was educated at St.

Leonard Academy there. He was employed by the City of New York in the Finance Department for about 17 years. He then moved to Long Beach, where he became an assistant to Mayor William J. Dalton. A year later he was elected as supervisor to represent the City of Long Beach and four years later he became the City Treasurer under Mayor Frank Franco.

Mr. Hogan was a member of the Long Beach Chapter of the Knights of Columbus, a member of the Holy Name Society, Volunteer Firemen of Long Beach and a member of the Patrolmen's Benevolent Association. He is survived by his widow, Charlotte; a son, Thomas; two daughters, Marie and Margaret: a brother, John, and his father, Thomas Sr. Funeral services will be held Friday at 9:30 a.m. in the St.

Ignatius Martyr R. C. Church, Long Beach. Rites Tomorrow For Louis Erichs A solemn requiem mass will be offered tomorrow at 10 a.m. at Our Lady of Refuge C.

Church for Louis H. Erichs, 65, of 2530 Foster a veteran employe of the B. M. who died Monday after an Illness of about two months. At his death Mr.

Erichs had completed 21 years with the B. M. T. and was in the stores division. He was active in the old Brotherhood of B.

M. T. Employes and a member of the Holy Name Socoiety of St. Rose of Lima R. C.

Church, having lived in that parish until recently. Many years ago he had been active in the old Brooklyn Rowing Club. His wife, Mrs. Josephine PatU Erichs, was related to the late Ade-lina Patti, the famous singer. Also surviving are five daughters, Mrs.

Genevieve Ginna, Mrs. Lillian Craig, Mrs. Prudence Chamberlin and Lavinla and Madeline Erichs; two sons, Louis H. and Vincent Erichs, and five grandchildren. Burial will be in St.

Philip Durant Smith, World War aviator and former member of the French Ambulance Corps, who died of a heart attack Monday, will be held at 2 p.m. tomorrow in the Church of Our Saviour, Pierrepont St. and Monroe Place. Captain Smith, who was 43, lived at 401 Grand Ave. Captain Smith was decorated by France with the Legion of Honor Medal for his services.

He went to France after graduation from Dartmouth College in 1915 with three other Dartmouth students as the result of a campaign at the college to place two ambulances in the field in connection with the work of the American Hospital in Paris. Upon this country's entry in the war, he returned here and entered the air service. Captain Smith was born In Brooklyn, the son of George William and Olive Durant Smith. He prepared for college at Polytechnic Institute and was a member of Psi Upsilon Fraternity. At college he was a member of the track team and vice president of the Dartmouth Outing Club.

He was married in 1917 to Miss Helen Ward, who survives him with four sons, Ward Durant Smith, Dur-yea Durant Smith, Gordon Durant Smith and Robert Durant Smith. His parents and a sister. Fernandez, executive directress of the Brooklyn Home for Children, 141 S. 3d for the past 24 years, who died Monday of a cardiac condition at the WyckofT Heights Hospital. Born in Brooklyn, Miss Fernandez lived at the home, having Joined Its staff 28 years ago as a kindergarten teacher.

Four years later she was appointed superintendent. Previously she was employed by the Board of Education in playground work. Maurice Black-Troy, N. Jan. 19 Maurice Black, motion picture character actor and former resident of White-stone, L.

died of pneumonia in Hollywood, according to word re-reived here yesterday by his brother, Harry, local theater manager. He was 46. Mr. Black had appeared in some 400 films, having parts in many gangster pictures. His most recent roles were in "The Life of Emlie Zola." "The Firefly" and "The Cali-fornian." A native of Whlt.stone, he marie his debut in vaudeville when 17.

Seven years later he went to California with a road company that was presenting the stage production "Broadway." Shortly thereafter he entered pictures on the Coa.st, Col. C. D. Wilcox Naples, Italy. Jan.

19 l.P Col. Cornelius DeWltt Wilcox of the United States Army died in a hospital today of pneumonia. He was 77 and became ill while touring. He taught at West Point from 1910 until his retirement in 1925. The body will be sent to America, Walter Hi.

19 Funeral services for Robert S. Brown, vice president and treasurer of the G. M. Basford Company, New York advertising agents, will be held here tomorrow at 2:30 p.m. in the Brown home.

Burial will be in Ridgelawn Cemetery at Delawanna, N. J. Mr. Brown, a graduate of Pratt Institute in Brooklyn, died Monday night at his home. He was 51.

Surviving are his widow, Mrs. Louise Macher Brown; two daughters, Mrs. Louise Brown Blackler and MLss Emille Brown, and a sister, Mrs. Annie Dobson. A native of England, he was graduated as a mechanical engineer from Pratt Institute in 1909 and was employed in the engineering office of the Erie Railroad for the next six years.

He went to the Basford Company in 1916, specializing In merchandising problems of the railway supply Industry. During his association with the advertising agents he did work for the American Arch Company, Lima Locomotive Works, Franklin Railway Supply Company, Superheater Company and Standard Stoker Company. He was a member of the EngU neers, Transportation and New York Railway clubs of New York. Services Tonight For Amalie Ruger Funeral services will be held tonight at 8 for Miss Amalie Ruger, 68. prominent artist and daughter of the late Julius Ruger, well-known portrait painter.

Miss Ruger died Monday at St. John's Hospital after a brief illness. A lifelong resident of Brooklyn, Miss Ruger and her family had lived at 35 Troy Ave. for the last 61 years. She studied at Cooper Union and the Academy of Design and was a member of the Brooklyn Art Guild and of the Ladies Aid of Russell Camp Auxiliary of the 13th Regiment Veterans Association.

Surviving are three brothers, Theodore, George Otto and Alexander Ruger. The services will be conducted by the Rev. Charles William Roeder at the Fairchild Chapel, 86 Lefferts Place. John J. Seymour Funeral services for John J.

Seymour, 63, who riled today at his home, 652 Marcy after a week's illness, will be held at 8 p.m. Friday st the Fairchild Funeral Chapel, 86 lefferts Place. The religious services will be followed by fraternal Mr. Seymour, a past commander of Brooklyn Camp, 22, of the United Spanish War Veerans, was a member of Manual Lodge, 636. F.
