Bring your dues and envelope; save a dime give it to the club. ll ll 4t Arts, Crafts Project An afternoon of Arts and Crafts was enjoyed by the guests of the Lutheran Home on Thursday, Nov.

7. The project was a burlap wall hanging with fringed edges and decorated with poems, sayings, colorful pictures and flowers. The guests were assisted by Mrs. Marian Qimrnings, Mrs. Betty Moore, Mrs.

Ruth Johnson McConnell, Mrs. Edith McFarlin and Mrs. Ann Oliver. At the completion of the craft, refreshments were served. Anyone wishing to help with these monthly workshops may do so, and willingness would be appreciated by the Volunteer Board of the Lutheran Home.

Those interested should contact Ann Oliver, 837 7827. Birthday Cake is Served at Senior Citizens Meeting The Kane Senior Citizens' Hospitality Club met Tuesday in their club rooms at the corner of Field and Chase streets with a birthday cake, baked by Agnes Salvamoser, served at the noon lunch. Those having birthdays in November were honored. Kathrene Rennard, presided at the meeting. Irving Smith opened the meeting with prayer followed by pledge of allegiance.

Ruth Smith gave a good report on the bazaar. It was reported that Ethel Stark and Pearl Swanson had falls. A check from Stackpole Carbon Local 502 was received and a card of thanks was sent. A letter was read from the county commissioners in regards to the meeting of Bi Centennial Committee tonight at 7:30 at the court house in Smethport. A letter from Erie County Senior Citizens Council was also read.

A public card party will be held tonight at 8 p.m. at the center. A Thinksgiving chicken dinner is planned for Sunday Nov. 24 at 1:30 p.m. Paid members are to make reservations by Nov.

21 by calling Kathrene Rennard or the center. One dollar is to be paid toward the dinner. A tureen dinner on Oct. 24 was enjoyed by 30 members. The meeting closed with prayer by Irving Smith.

Senior Center hours are: Mondays through Thursdays 10 a.m. to 5 p.m., Fridays 10 a.m. to 9 p.m. and Saturdays and Sundays 1 5 p.m. All senior citizens are welcome.

A search of the boy's home turned up all of the missing drugs. The threat of a teachers' strike in Johnsonburg was removed Tuesday night when the school board accepted a two year master teachers' contract with the Johnsonburg Area Educational Association. The contract calls for salary increases of $825 this school year and $825 more in the next school year. Xas Rites David Leaf strom A funeral service in memory of David 0. Leaf strom, 71, of McClellan Avenue, Mt.

Jewett, who died on Nov. 11 at the Bradford Hospital, was conducted from St. Matthew's Lutheran Church in Mt. Jewett on Wednesday at 2 pan. The Rev.

V. Theodore Benson, pastor of St. Matthew's Lutheran Church, officiated. The pallbearers were Ray D. Swanson, Bernard Swanson, Arthur Turnquist, Harold Johnson, LeRoy Nelson and Anthony Cesario.

Interment was in Nebo Cemetery, Mt. Jewett. Joseph DeMarte Rosary services were held at 7: 15 p.m. Tuesday at W.G. Curnmings Funeral Home here for Guesuppe (Joseph) DeMarte, who died Nov.

9 at Trumbull Memorial Hospital, Warren, 0. Mass of Resurrection was at 9 a.m. yesterday with Rev. Joseph Jerge, pastor of St. Callistus Catholic Church, officiating.

Pallbearers were Pasquale, Martin, Dominic, Anthony, Joseph and Paul DeMarte. Friends and relatives attending the funeral from out of town were Mrs. Joseph DeMarte and Mr. and Mrs. Anthony Zucco of Niles, 0., Mr.

DIED HERE TODAY Edmund Guth, 82, of Leeper, died at 3:20 a.m. this morning at the Kane Community Hospital where he had been a patient for one week.

Hedglin and David A. Rakiecki. The wedding began earlier that day at sunrise as the couple met alone on a hillside to exchange personal vows. The church service began at sunset and was performed by the Rev. R.C.

Christian of Cambridge Springs. The bride was escorted down the aisle and was given in marriage by her father. She wore a long muslin dress with a bodice of old fashioned lace and carried a bouquet of field flowers gathered for her by the groom in nearby fields. Attending Jhe bride as piaid of honor was her sister, Barbara Lynn Hedglin rf pittsburgh. She wore a long beige and brown print dress and also carried a bouquet of field flowers.

Standing as best man was Paul J. Depto of Bliss Hill, a life long friend of the groom. Two friends of the bride and groom, Janet Reetz and Paul Foks, sang with guitar accompaniment. They sang "And I Love Her So" and "The Wedding Song." During the ceremony the bride and groom exchanged traditional wedding vows and read aloud to one another from Genesis and Ruth in the Bible. The guests at the wedding were the immediate family and a few very close friends of the couple.

Hedglin of R.D. 7, Kittanning. She is a senior at Edinboro State College majoring in early childhood education. The groom is the son of Mr. and Mrs.

Andrew Rakiecki of West Kane. He is a graduate student at Edinboro working toward certification as a school psychologist. Mr. and Mrs. Rakiecki reside at Box 88, Lawrence Towers, Edinboro.

Deputy Grand Officer Made Official Visit Here Monday Night Deputy Grand Royal Matron Margaret Drivas of Warren made her official visit" to the regular monthly meeting of the Order of the Amaranth, Florence I. Morton Court No. 119, Monday evening in the Masonic Temple here. Honored Lady Margaret was escorted, as were all grand officers, royal matrons, royal patrons, past royal matrons and past royal patrons. H.L.

Margaret was honored with a program having a Thanksgiving theme and a gift was presented to her. Royal Matron Eileen Anundson and Royal Patron Henrietta Holmquist presided over the 8 p.m. meeting with a large crowd from Kane and Warren attending. A committee was appointed to be in charge of next month's table decorations for the Christmas party. It was decided to have the annual tureen dinner preceding next month's meeting with refreshments and $1 gift exchange to follow the meeting.

A petition for membership was also received and read. A delicious luncheon was served from a table decorated with the holiday theme. The serving committee consisted of honor ladies Lorraine Oakes, chairman, Myrtle Fogel, Ann Fogel, Martha Skooglund and Marian Hult man. The door prize was won by Erma Kelley. MARYS Injuries sustained in a two car accident in Toby Valley Saturday morning proved fatal to Mrs. William E. Hutchins of Dagus Mines. She died Tuesday morning at 5:10 in the Intensive Care Unit of Kaul Memorial Hospital, where she had been since the time of the accident.
